I know a couple of people. My friend's sister just recently got on house arrest. I know that brace around your leg is very miserable & aggravating.

I knew a man who had to wear the ankle bracelet to keep from going to jail. I did not know him well but I believe it was worth it to him not to have to go to jail. He was able to eat when he wanted, watch TV, go to bed when he wanted to, etc. As far as I know, this was his very first offense so he got a break on his sentence.

I was not exaclty on house arrest, but on curfews, and i had the ankle monitor. It wasn't phsyically aggravating, but the alarm kept getting triggered when i hadn't done anything, the cops came out so many times that finally I was arrested for breach, and spent 6 weeks in jail until they dropped the charge in court.

I knew a guy who was on house arrest for a few months following his release from jail. I'm sure he didn't have much fun, but it had to have been better than sitting in jail!

I know one person that was on house arrest and she complained about the ankle bracelet being annoying but that's the price you pay when you get in trouble with the law.

Yep. A girl at my school is on it frequently. Except she says it's comfortable yet annoying, and likes to show it off. She really thinks she is tough, but is pretty much all talk. When she fights she runs away.
