I am Christian, and I know I am to support this president because it's the Chrsitian thing to do. But how much is too much? If I am to recognize a tree by it's fruit, then is this president bad news for all?

it is clear you have been victimized by the radical left agenda of the american media. This president will be judged by history to have been one of the best. His decisions have been rightly and judiciously made, he has stuck to his decisions and not swayed with the wind in the breeze of media driven opinion ( which never reflects the majority thought, it tell us all that it is the majority opinion). He is a solid christian man, who prays deeply for guidance, and has surrounded himself by the most distinguished cabinet of advisors i have seen in 50 years of closely observing the public scene (notice, no thieves, no sex maniacs, no scandal of personal misbehavior since taking office - amazing), and his vice-president is one of the most experienced and wise statesman I have ever known. He has stood steadfastly against the murder of the unborn, the marriage of gays, the corruption of ethics through taking the stem cells of the unborn(recently proven to have been a wise decision as new research has revealed a far superior source) -the left supports faux science (gays are "born" that way); global warming alarmism as though we in America are the cause - ludicrous. You see, I remember that we actually won the war in Viet Nam. General Giap, the head of the North Vietnamese army recently published his memoirs in which he expressed how baffled they were by our actions - "why did you stop bombing Hanoi? In two more days we would have surrendered" and in the Tet offensive -"we were totally defeated and were running for our lives - we were dumbfounded that you didn't pursue us and finish us off, but then we heard your Walter Cronkite had told your people that you were beaten and your foolish people believed him"
Therefore I repeat, ignore the "mainstream" media and get your facts elsewhere - subscribe to the newsletter from Hillsdale College for starters -
Sorry to be so passionate about this, but George is a friend of mine, and I know his heart, and I know history - this war is just a continuation of the Crusades in the mind of Islam, and there can be no peace but the grave for Western civilization.
Notice how silent the media has been about the fact that we are now making astonishing progress - the democratic leadership does not want us to win, they cannot stand that the president has been right - the radical moslems want to reestablish the caliphate, they have a long memory and a long view of history and that is an advantage for them. The typical Harvard Graduate can't come within 50 years of the dates of the Civil War yet Harvard,Princeton, Yale and Brown teach as doctrine, that the Constitution needs to be gradually replaced with a proprietary dictatorship in America - where the elite (themselves) tell the rest of us what is good for us and how we should live, since they obviously know best being graduates of those elite institutions - and so many young people are falling for this unmitigated balderdash! Help!

Political activity should not be taken to excess because Hebrews 11:13-16 makes it clear where our priorities should lie.

They did not receive the things God had promised, but from a long way off they saw them and welcomed them, and admitted openly that they were foreigners and refugees on earth. Those who say such things make it clear that they are looking for a country of their own. They did not keep thinking about the country they had left; if they had, they would have had the chance to return. Instead, it was a better country they longed for, the heavenly country. And so God is not ashamed for them to call him their God, because he has prepared a city for them.

That said, keep in mind that Jesus commanded us to give to Caesar that which is Caesar’s. In America, our federal republic form of government demands participation. If we don’t participate, it all falls apart. It’s been falling apart for some time - fewer people are voting and getting informed on the issues of the day, and the minority of people who do participate seem to be getting louder to make up for it. Christians should be looking at the issues from the standpoint of a Christian citizen, and making our views known to our elected officials. Do you believe (as I do) that life should be protected? Or do you believe that a woman should be free to make decisions about her body even at the cost of human life? Should we have more of a nanny-state government where citizens are cared for by the government? Or should we be more unfettered by regulation and taxes and take the consequences of that, good and bad? We should be studying scripture, coming up with informed answers, and acting accordingly. We’re not always going to agree, but a refusal to participate in our particular form of government will result in its failure, and landing a president that no one seems to support. Or, has those that support Bush decided to vote and those that does not support Bush decide not to vote at all. This would help to make sense as to why Bush is currently our elected official.

Rule of thumb . . . When you don't vote; you have actually supported the person who won.

He is bad news for all. Recognize a tree by it's fruit. I mean, why the heck are we even in Iraq? Isn't Osma Bin Laden in Pakistan? And why did we go to Iraq where as a result the death toll just keeps on rising from this war?

"Christian thing to do." are you kidding me? I'm a Republican, but I'm not supporting this dude. I would say the "Christian thing to do," is to support someone who decides to do what's best for the world's well being. Adolf Hitler was a Christian, believe it or not....do you support what he did? well, i guess because Adolf was Christian, then you should praise him, because it would be the "Christian thing to do." right? wake up. If you had to choose one of two people to hang out with, and learn some life lessons from, and the choices were Hitler and Gandhi. Who would you choose to take a few lessons from? In your head, if you say Hitler, because he is a Christian, do not let anybody find out, because people will give you a virtual slap

when it comes to judging other people... some people for whatever motive or agenda...

make a silk purse out of a sows ear, or call a sow's ear a silk purse.
.

would anyone who says Bush is bad.. be able to do better?.. alot of people can say that they would.. but once they got there and found out nuances that the average citizen doesnt know, would they?

who would be judging whether what they did was good or bad?
.

what about the fruit that each of us produce? who would be judging what we do as good or bad?
what if what we thought was good.. was actually bad?
.

were we all called to be fruit inspectors?... or called to judge the fruit that we ourselves produce .. and not judge others.
.

when i comes to christians, though they would desire to.. they do not always produce perfect fruit.. and no one being fallible should judge others when they fail in some area.

as Jesus said, "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone".
.

support the president in whatever measure that you can. and be forbearing and pray for him concerning the rest.
.

I'm a Christian and I see lots of good fruit in the life of GWB.

Why do two people see the same things and come to different conclusions?

You support your government as long as what they are doing isn't against God. If the fruit of the tree is bad, you do not have to eat the fruit.... nor should you. There will come a time where we, as Christians, will have to stand up against our Government because they have passed laws that are against our God. God always trumps the government.

Hang in there. If it's difficult to support him, try to keep in mind his time is almost up. Focus on researching the new candidates to find someone who will better reflect our views in the future.

Just like the Christians during the Third Reich supported Hitler? Some disagreed with him and they certainly didn't stand idly by.

Not that GB is comparable to AH but he's still screwing a lot of people.
