Is it better to turn off a ps3 from the power button, or controller?

Is it better to turn off a ps3 from the power button or controller? If someone knows can they please tell me.

It doens't matter which way you turn the PS3 off. About 95% of the time, I turn my PS3 off by using the controller because I don't have to get up.

There shouldn't be a better way to turn off the PS3 because if it was then Sony would have only chosen one way for the PS3 to be turned off.
