Does the lack of Dual Shock 3 in the controllers make it less fun to play the games (especially FPS games)? I was thinking of buying one and play lots of FPS games. (I know dual shock 3 is coming but the default controller that is given with the ps3 won't have it)

The lack of rumble in the PS3's controllers doesn't effect my gameplay. When I first found out that the PS3's controllers wouldn't have rumble before the PS3 came out, I was disappointed because I thought that I would miss the rumble feature in games, but I just go used to not having rumble pretty easily.

But, I'm glad that the new Dualshock 3 controllers are coming out in the Spring. The Rumble feature with the controller just makes the game more intense, especially with FPS, and I like that.

You learn to live with it. It's not that big of a deal.

Besides, there's going to be a Dual Shock 3 this spring, so whatever games that don't have the shock can eventually get the shock through software updates.

i have a ps2 and i'm playing Final Fantasy XII, and i find the rumble obnocious(sp?) when i go to my friends house and play ps3 i really don't miss it at all. some people think that it makes the experience better, but it doesn't matter to me.

Not at all. Probably makes the battery in the controller last longer without it also.

No. I didn't even notice it until I heard someone complain about it. You don't feel let down by it.
