I'm trying to get over this girl so I'm taking this challenge to got out and meet new girls:
There's 10 days of class left in my college semester, so I'm going to try to meet 10 attractive girls (and get their phone numbers) between now and December 16th.
My plan is to talk to girls on campus, at bars and clubs, at a coffee shop, and possibly at this huge church near where I live.
The goal is to meet some girls to be interested in and date instead of spending my whole winter break thinking about my ex.
Do you think I can do it?
Does this sound like a good idea?

Here's some more information:
I'm not a player.
I'm a nice, caring, relationship-oriented guy.
I'm not looking for a rebound girl or someone to sleep with.
I just want to meet some new girls and maybe get a new girlfriend.
I wouldn't mind making a few new friends, either.
I had strong feelings for my ex but I'm ready to move on.

A couple more details:
This was my idea, my friends aren't putting me up to this. It's just something that I thought would be be cool to try. I am going to tell one close friend about it, however, because I think she will help me stick with it.
If I meet a girl I really like then I'll give up on the plan. This isn't really about meeting 10 girls, it's about getting myself to start looking again. If I meet 10 girls and I don't like any of them, I'll at least feel like I'm trying. If I meet one girl that I really like then I'll feel even better.

I think it's a great idea. But you don't necessarily have to get 10 phone numbers. If you find the girl your looking for at number 4...stop your search and focus on that girl.

Move on yes....but making the whole "meeting new girls" thing a scoreboard is kind of ridiculous. Just relax, take your time and meet all kinds of people. You never know, you might make a new guy friend who knows someone that might be right for you. Just chill on having to meet so many by a deadline. Funny thing is, usually, when you're not "looking", that's when something, or someone is found. Good luck.

Can you do it? Probably.
Is it a good idea? Well, it won't help any with the ex unless one of the girls works out, but if you're just having some fun, it won't hurt. Time and keeping busy are the key to getting over a breakup. This is one way to pass the time and keep busy. So why not?

Allright, to accomplish this goal, talk to as many girls as you can. I mean, just walk up and talk to them. Nothin' is sexier than confidence. Also, by going up and talkin' to them, it shows you're interested, and that is VERY flattering! Don't feel defeated or give up if a girl isn't won over. Just keep trying, or move on to the next girl.

YES, finally a guy who doesn't cling to their ex. You go for it. I hope you find someone you can trust your heart with. However if you find a girl during your challenge stop and spend more time with her remember things like this take time.

I think it is a good and fun plan. Just don't become a player please. There are too many out there already. By I do support your idea of dating to get over an ex.

oh your so cute, yep I would do it. I think you can, I think it is good for you. You could learn more being around a lot of women. It helps clear your mind about a lot of things, makes you view things differently, be warned though, I met people who make me miss my x, so it could backfire...I hope not in your case

If you believe it will help you get over your ex, go for it. At your age, I think it's actually a pretty good idea.
