I'm 20 and I look 17 or so I hear. ANYways, I'm sick of hearing that I'll like it when I'm 30, I don't like it now, and trying to look less childlike will not make me look older when I am 30, just more chic and sophisticated I'm hoping.

You can try by changing your dress style first. Maybe wear more 'sophisticated' clothing, not too professional or business-like though, you're not That old yet. Also, changes in hairstyle usually help.
But then again, this might be a change that you have wait out to naturally occur. I myself am 19 but always get told that I look 15. Sometimes it can get really embarrassing, like when I get carded trying to buy something as small a lottery ticket (let alone alcohol!). I've finally learned to get comfortable with my looks rather than trying to change it. You might wanna try that too :)

OMG, trust me. All the time when I was 20 people thought I was like 15 or 16. I HATED IT!! Now I'm 30, and when I buy alcohol and get carded, it makes my day! Just in the past couple years I started noticing a few lines on my face, and am starting to look my age and now I HATE THAT! So when they say enjoy it while it lasts, it's true. It'll sneak up on you. One day you'll wake up and suddenly look old and it sucks. I'd do anything to look 17 again! Botox time!

When I was 20, I went out to eat with my parents. The server asked me if I was getting the discount child's menu. , which was for 12 and under.

I would look at the clothes you wear, how you carry yourself, your hairstyle, etc.
Really, looking 3 years younger than you are is not that bad. And I know some 17 year olds that would be greatly offended to be thought of as being a child.

People try to make you feel like you look like a child because they are jealous of your young looks. I'm 28 and people tell me I look 15 when I'm not wearing make-up. I love it. I don't want to get old. I would like to stay a child forever.
