Unless Americans stand up and demand the politicians we elect take action, I imagine we will be a far weaker nation as we are saturated by those who come from failed countries. If they couldn't make a difference in their own country and weren't willing to sacrifice anything to demand changes for their family, why would they be anything but a burden to this country. In the end, we will look like Mexico. A few in power while the rest of us live in poverty. Immigration is one of the strongest tools this country has ever had, however, that is when the immigrants wanted to be American and embrace the country. Unchecked illegal immigration is a nightmare that will destroy this country.

Looking at 2050 is next to impossible as its way too far out. Given the issues we have today and the motivation of American citizens I can look at 2015 and tell you with confidence that we will have a good handle on the illegal immigration issue. Many Mexicans will have made the return trip as jobs start to dry up.

I so agree with bopoppa's answer. Illegal immigrants and I mean all illegal immigrants are a drain on our society and something has to be done soon or we are all looking at a grim future for our country.

Being that most Hispanics have higher birth rates, and immigration both legal and illegal are coming from Latin American, and the non Hispanic white birth rates are falling as well as the current population is aging, Hispanics will be growing and growing until they are the majority.
