yes all games shall work but only certain blue ray movies marked with abc will work. Ask about if any 1 there is selling UK ps3s i got a UK ps3 in america for 400 dollars (£200)

I own US PS3 down in Europe. PAL games run allright. PS3 games are region free (unless developer decides to lock it, but I haven't heard of any games with those restrictions. All my games run perfect.

yes, like the PSP, PS3 games are region-free, which means a game bought anywhere in the world will play on a PS3 game bought anywhere in the world.

Yes though some games may restrict you to american servers online if they do not have worldwide servers which means if your friend had the uk version of a game you would not be able to play them.
