my friend wants me to try try out speed dating , im not sure what it is an if its any good can you help ?

you should try it just for bragging rights. If it didn't work then it wouldn't be around.
Also, try hooking your friend up with some one.

It's a good way to meet a bunch of people quickly!
You get a brief set time to talk with another person (usually a member of the opposite sex) and then when the bell goes you need to move on and talk with the next one.
At the end - you hand in a sheet of paper where you have written down which ones you liked.
If you liked them and they liked you, well the speed dating service give you each others contact details (often a mobile number).
Then you can go mingle, chat, have a bit to drink etc.
You wind up with a bunch of phone numbers and people that you have met (if only briefly).

Speed Dating is where you (and a bunch of other singles) meet somewhere, and you get a few minutes (5 or 10) to talk to anywhere from 10-20 potential matches one on one. Once the "interviewing" is done, you turn in your choices to the moderator, and if you selected someone who also selected you, you're given their information (phone number, etc). If you select someone who doesn't select you, or vice versa, you don't get their information and they don't get yours.
It's good if you know what you want, ask pointed questions, and are able to read people fairly well. Good Luck!

You'll catch more fish with a net than with a single line. So go for it. The more people you meet, the more chance you have to find the best one for you.

If you try it, make sure you have some common questions to ask people (why they're there, what kind of stuff they like to do, fave type of food, etc.)

It's very fast. Lot's of tables, 3 mins with each person.

its like having 2-3 min blind dates with a lot people..
i guess he'd have to sign up for it somewhere...like a dating service.
any good? idk. never tried it but im sure it works for some and for some not.

My friend did this and she said it was like 'Argo5ing It'... You know... 'Dont shop for it Argo5 it....' ha ha ha Try it, it worked for her!
