I think its to lenient they are invaders the first time O.K. maybe they were just ignorant the second time is intent and punishable by death.

and it wouldn't be as bad as you think cuz after the first few the illegal population would be running back home.

I fully support incarcerating and fining illegal aliens. I understand that people don't want to pay for this, but it's cheaper in the long run than just deporting them, as they will keep coming back (and bringing more) if there are no consequences. We could even end up with fewer 'anchor babies', as I don't think too many pregnant women would take the chance of going to jail.

I wonder where the OTM's come from, and why they are not given the same treatment. Anyway, it might force voluntary deportation. This tactic is to deter entry, which is better than nothing. Yes, they should be deported immediately and we should enforce our laws without delay. The gov doesn't seem to care enough. We were promised 6,000 more at the border, and no delivery, so those in operation streamline could take their place.

I like the opinion of someone who was deeply involved in the program, Val Verde County Sheriff A. D’Wayne Jernigan.

Look at what he said:

“Operation Streamline has had a positive impact in Val Verde County. We certainly get fewer calls about people crossing their property, less crime in rural areas, and we’re just not having as much of it as we had at one time. We’re still busy, but not swamped like we were when we were turning them all loose.”

Operation Streamline significantly slowed the importation of drugs into the Del Rio Sector. In 2005, agents dealt with human traffic and seizures of 51,330 pounds of marijuana, and 400 pounds of cocaine.

In 2006, the “take” was down to 20,000 pounds of marijuana, and 10 pounds of coke.

Only illegal aliens, their supporters, drug smugglers, and alien smugglers would not like Operation Streamline.

No. Where does the deportation part come in? A total waste of $ on prosecution and incarceration! They need to be deported when they are caught. God! It makes me think of my daughter when she starts hitting her chest, talking with that dork voice because I'm not getting something...then she calls me a "tard"...she loves me. Regardless, why aren't they getting it...we've wasted enough $...deport them.

It's a start. For second time offenders, it should be more like "operation line 'em up against the wall -n- mow 'em down line"

It's a start, but still not strong enough. They should also be stripped of any possibility of ever acheiving citizenship, with the first time offense, and be immediately deported along with any of their anchor babies.

Use common sense. Mexico is a next door neighbor and is a 3rd world country, why you don't expect them to cross here illegally?, if Ukraine was a next door neighbor we would get a lot of illegal Ukrainians immigrants as well.

I'm in favor of it and very sorry that they almost immediately announced that in some areas 'all' means '10%'. However, they are only underlining how we can't trust them to enforce what they say they will.
