Jesus Christ did appear when Janet Jackson had that wood-robe malfunction. But nobody paid attention so he went back into hidding.

Um, if Christ himself descended from heaven during the half-time show at the super bowl to proclaim such a thing, he would be denying his own beliefs and the teachings of his Father, which he repeatedly defended in scriptures. So I don't think that's gonna happen. So the answer is there is no defeat to admit.

I see another claim that Jesus is an American. Having costume failures and Jesus returning is the only way people outside the US could give a rats **** about the game.
If Jesus came back at a sporting event it would be the World Cup and he'd be wearing a Maccabi Akhi Nazareth F.C. t-shirt!

When Jesus Christ descends, creationists won't have a thing to worry about.

They would NOT admit defeat. They would admit that they were wrong about evolution, but there would be proof (on video, no less) that Jesus Christ exists. Sounds like a net win for the Christians, my friend.

When Jesus Christ descends, it won't be to answer questions. Views on evolution won't matter at all-- only whether you have accepted Him as Saviour.
And, I don't think it will be long from now.

I don't know, but that would sure be bad timing for descent, as half of people would have to choose between the second half of the Super Bowl and the second coming of the lord. Not sure what I'd choose.

If that happened, the atheists would be the ones admitting defeat....unless they still called for more evidence of His existence.

I think that as Christians we learn from both of the books that God wrote, his word and his world. I do not see any disagreement between the two. If the data obtained from the natural world conflicts with what I believe about Scripture, then I would re-evaluate the data, my interpretation of the data, and my interpretation of Scripture.
