I've heard speculation of them switching the pattern of the uniform from the ACU Digital pattern to the Multicam pattern?
What do you think? Will they? Should they?

They should get rid of the zipper and all the velcro, and make the fabric more resilient. I don't know who designed the uniform, but they certainly didn't have field expedience in mind. Have you ever tried to sew on a zipper in the field? Now compare that to sewing on a button.

I hate them. The ACU's are horrible for combat. Too bright for use at night, too dark for the desert, too green for urban, too grey for woodland. Congratulations, the US Army managed to find the only uniform that works nowhere. Not only that, but medics have to remove melted plastic before treating wounds.
Now if you go to multicam.com, you can see that with their pattern you actually blend in with everything except for snow. Now that is an all terrain pattern.
To the girl that spouted how horrible the the USAF uniform looks and how great the ACU is... Have you actually seen the USAF ABU. Until you get within five feet of someone wearing it, it looks EXACTLY the same as the ACU. They both suck.
Give me something that I can use and works well, or let me get my own.

I believe that one of the main reasons that the military wants to get rid of the ACU is because many soldiers were complaining that the material rips easily at the seams.

I've heard that the ACU's are under going modification following a survey of the troops.
Many soldiers want the majority of the velcro removed so patches, awards, name tag can be sown on as well as shoulder patches/flags.

I'm in the army....i like acu's but i don't think that they are great........my first Sgt. told me that in two years we are going to switch uniforms the army is working in a new uniform.....i hope they don't come up with a stupid uniform......

i love the acus...i tell my husband that the only complain is that i wish the pants didn't have so many buttons. lol uh...yeah...
anyways.
i think they are cool. they look very nice. a lot better than the new air force uniforms. WOW.
