i dont have a girlfriend but i want this one girl to be mine, but every time i talk to any girl it comes out flirty. i wouldnt call it a bad habit, but its got the symptoms of a bad habit. so far nothing bad has come of it though... so any advice?

As long as nothing comes of it, you're fine. Keep it this way, and all is good.
Flirting is a way of appreciating other people's attractiveness, and need not lead to anything else. Make this clear with your flirtee from the start.
I'm 39 and happy in a relationship for 14 years, but he and I both flirt with others, and it's fun - the fact that other people find us attractive keeps the other motivated to stay in good shape and keep ourselves looking good, it really keeps the spice in our relationship. It's never led to anything I've regretted. It's healthy, I think.
Just make sure your girlfriend feels the same way, not everyone is comfortable with this.

Some girls like flirting. They think it's cute! But since you want to stop flirting, heres what you got to do. Think of her as just a friend and as the girl you like at the same time. Yeah, it sounds like it makes no sence, but try to do that and she's as good as yours!
