1. Get rid of all the sand, before the kids play in it again.

2. Wash with strong bleach.

3. Rinse and allow to dry well.

4. Get new sand.

5. Buy sandbox cover and use it at all times when you are not watching the sand box.

Your children could end up ingesting roundworm eggs or larvae which don't do to humans what they do to cats. What roundworms do to humans is much more serious and deadly.

A sandbox cover, it's the only way. Those sand boxes will draw all the cats in the neighborhood otherwise! Its instinctive for them to use sand, they can't help it.

kind of hard to do, I think. When I was a kid, same thing. The cat thinks it is a big, outdoor litter box! Don't blame the cat-it feels like litter! No real answer, but DO NOT punish the cat for doing it's business outside! Maybe find a cover for it- best that I can suggest-DO NOT HURT THE CAT!!!

watch him when he goes outside and if it looks like he is heading for the sandbox grab him a put him somewhere else in the yard. block him so he cant get to the sand box. if that does not help, put a cover on the sand box and he wont try to go on it.

i do not study the regulation on your section , yet right here cats are required to be modern on vaccines and licensed, like dogs, in the journey that they are pets. otherwise they're considered strays. So, i could call animal administration and record the strays. they can convey out traps to seize them and take them to the pound. perchance call your community animal administration and ask what the regulation is and if something will be achieved. contained in the intervening time, get a puzzling plastic or timber lid on your sandbox that they can't tear by.

Pine cones all over it make it so the cats not comfy enough to do it. And lots of orange peel, they don't like the smell. Also make sure you remove the wee or poo straight away. And lift the cat up and say no firmly. I know people say you can't train cats, but mine knows when I say no I'm sure.
