It means that, once again, we may have asked our youngest, strongest and bravest to pay the ultimate sacrifice justified yet once more by thoughtless, greedy and ignorant leadership at the white house level and a spineless military senior leadership who did not and still have not displayed the same courage as their subordinates by standing up to the commander-in-chief in defense of the very American values that the 3875 paid so high a price for.

It means a lot of things:
3875 = number of U.S. Casualties, presumably higher at the time of answering the question.
It is also:
Approximately 3,000 fewer casualties than were suffered in the battle for Iwo Jima.
Approximately 54,000 fewer casualties than the Vietnam War.
Approximately 51,000 fewer casualties than the Korean War.
While I'm not a proponent of this war, it's pretty safe to say that, in terms of American casualties alone (an important emphasis), this war has been the safest in which the United States has participated.
For the record, of the major conflicts in which the United States has participated, only the War of 1812 (2,260) and Spanish American War (2,893) have had fewer soldier deaths.

It means that our brave soldiers, made the ultimate sacrifice to give. Give to their country, but also to the world, to make it safer for freedom. It means that if those brave soldiers weren't out their fighting people like you, and others would be out their instead. It means we owe these people and their families a great amount of respect and gratitude. It means that fighting for a greater cause isn't easy.

It means that 3,875 patriotic American VOLUNTEERS went in harms way to protect the ****s of those who malign them.
All over the world, in western coutries anyway, they are electing conservative, pro-American leaders. Did you hear the Prime Minister of France (FRANCE!) gush over the US at the UN last week?
War for the rich? Wasn't aware that I, as a middle class American was rich. Yes, this war protects me and all Americans.
At least I don't belong to the political party of Nancy Pelosi the Appeaser who wears a Muslim scarf as she tries to undermine the US overseas.

It means we somehow continue to allow our sons and daughters to be put in harm's way in the interests of protecting the rich........the war is a travesty. Take a look at the message the Australian people just sent to their respective political parties a few days ago. Very clearly, they threw out the Bush stooge they had for prime minister and elected the party that will get them out of Iraq. It's time to wake up everyone....
