I found quite a few complaints about herbalife.

One is that it is a pyramid scheme, and two that the products DO NOT work.

Also several people have filed lawsuits against the company for defrauding them, or for making product that made people sick.

Here is one comment I found - I now understand that the herbalife business is so saturated with distributers that you can't make money at all with their terrible products that make people sick.

Here is a list of complaints at ripoff report.

You don't indicate what type of business it is. Advertising and marketing are the most important parts to increasing your customer base. After you establish a customer base you'll have "word of mouth" advertising from your customers as well. If online advertising isn't working well, then try print advertising (newspapers, magazines, flyers, etc.) or buy a radio spot or TV spot. Customers can't come to you if they don't know about you.

What specifically is your business? If you had a business plan when you started it, go back to your plan and see if you can figure out what's going wrong and if you can fix it.

If you got sucked in by one of the "make a gazzilion dollars from home on your computer" ads, there probably isn't much you can do except admit to yourself that you got scammed.

Just dont give up. Any business is rough when it first starts out, but all you need to do is keep at it. If you keep it up and keep improving, people will take notice. And get people to talk and spread the word.

It would help if you described the business, perhaps there is some type of niche you are missing that you need to target with your advertising.

I've read somewhere that it can take upto a year before your business could be said to be 'going anywhere'.
