Lev 20:13 states: 'If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them'.

Did God feel the same about sex before marriage? Which did He feel more strongly about?

In the Catholic faith i know that God does not support homosexuality, but does not hate it. This might sound oxymoronic, but let me explain.

Before any talk about gays, in the Catholic faith it clearly states alot about abstainense. You should not have sex before your married. It also states that marriage is between a man and a women. This leads to reasoning that since sexual conduct should not be tolarated before marriage, and marriage is for a man and a women, a homosexual can not involve themself in any sexual relation.

Even if you do follow through however, Ive been taught since Day 1 that God loves you no matter what you do. If you are truly sorry for what you have done, he will forgive you.

And fyi, Lev. is the laws of the old Jewish faith. When Jesus Christ came into Earth, he showed that compassion for God and one another got rid of all those laws. Some of those verses are just plain weird

God intended for man and woman to be together. He intended for man and woman to stay together for all their lives. If you read back in the beginning of the old testament when a man and woman had sex they were automatically married. God never intended us to run around with different partners to see which one we liked the best. God looks at sin as sin. More verses on Homosexuality 1 Kings 14:24, Lev. 20:13, and Rom 1:24, 26, 27.
On the Sexual perversion Deut. 22:22-29, Deut 23:17, Lev.18:6-18, Deut 27:21. Judgment upon: Lev 18:22-28, 1 Cor. 5:1-5, Lev 20:13-16. I hope this will help you.

Doesn't the Bible say that a person who breaks one part of the law breaks it all? Doesn't the Bible also say that a person who has committed sexual sin has sinned against their own body?

Which did God feel more strongly about? Why would it matter? Both parties are equally in need of God's grace. When a person goes against God's law, they are no longer perfect, and we are all in that condition, gay or straight. This also goes for sex outside of marriage.

Two wrongs do not make a right, and assigning a hierarchy - placing one wrong as "more wrong" than the other does not make one offense "more right" than another. They are all grouped as a "wrong".

sex before marriage & homosexuality are both sins.
regardless.
SOO many effin people today think that times have changed & that God's rules can be bent.
well they are wrong.
God duznt want u to be perfect but thats y he is a forgiving god and had his son Jesus die for our sins.

gay people say that they cant help the way they feel for someone of the same sex.
sometimes u cant help what u THINK
we r born impure thanks to adam & eve
& therefore sometimes do sins & have thoughts.
the R E A L sin is acting upon ur impure thoughts.
if u have sexual thoughts, u cant help that, but sex is the sin
if a man feels for another, the sin is commiting impure acts w/ him

so u see u can have whatever beliefs u want
just as whatever religion u want
BUT IF U R A TRUE CHRISTIAN
u wont bend God's rules or be impure with another as the same sex as u

end of story people!!!!!!!

sin is sin is sin. Homosexuality should not be made the poster child of sin. With that said, it still is a sin.

Regardless if one is born gay or not, even if you remove the negative scriptures about homosexuality; The bible never addresses homosexuality in a positive way like it does marriage, relations with siblings, parents/children, friends, etc. If it were pleasing and "ok" for people to actively participate in homosexual behavior, it would be addressed in some way. Gods peace

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. . . . If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them" (Lev. 18:22, 20:13).

Does this mean the lesbians are safe? if god created us in his image I am willing to go out on a limb and say that he is bisexual

I agree with the Word of God, man made up his own rules and CHOSE to disobey God and or think differently.

Right has become the wrong and vice versa.

Well, I agree with Helen. Homosexuality is wrong. Leviticus 20:13 says so.

Same sex marriage is a more stable relationship... I believe that God the Father is not supportive of the spontaneous quicky ones where one of the 2 probably doesn't get fully satisfied. That is not what God had in mind when he designed sex! He wants both partners to be fully satisfied!

God does not feel more strongly about one sin over the other. Sin is sin. God's views on Sex before marriage can be found in Leviticus 20:10 where it says:
"If there is a man who commits adultery with another man's wife, one who commits adultery with his friend's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death."
