The Catholic Church is not a religion, it is a church. The catholic faith is a religion. There are some, but even though in their doctrine it states that homosexuals are not accepted, it would be also against their doctrine to not accept them. So I guess it is more of a "you must decide on which right, is more right". That is why some churches choice to accept homosexuals, while some do not. Hopefully one day, they will all choice to accept them, because that is what Jesus would of did.

Hello,
Yes, the mainstream religions believe homosexuality is a grave sin. There are a few sects in Christianity like the United Church in Canada through to part of the Anglican and others that do but the vast majority condemns it.
Homosexuals are not "rejected" in the churches and all are welcome to come just as fornicators, adulterers and the lot.
It is just that they are not going to slap the gays on the back and say, what you do is OK and pleasing to God.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

Unitarians accept practically everything, while just about every other Christian sect frowns upon it. Jews and Muslims do too since the idea is from similar books.
The Indian culture frowns upon it too, but I don't know if that's cultural or religiously based in Hinduism.
Pagans definitely support homosexuality, as gay was okay before the aforementioned came in and killed them. Atheism. Probably Bhuddism. And that covers all the main global religions.

Um..basically any religion that believes in God rejects homosexuality I.E. Christianity (most, but not all,), Islam, and I'm pretty sure the Jews do to, for the guy above me who said they accepted them. The Torah is the first 5 books of the Christian Bible...where that whole homosexual thing is told.
But this is the religions stance, not necesarily all the people.

If religions go by what the Bible teaches, then none of them would accept Homosexuals. The Bible clearly teaches that God doesn't accept those type of people along with other types of people. Please read the scripture at 1 Corinthians 6:9,10: "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom."
And Romans 1:26. 27 says - "That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature;Â and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error."
It's pretty plain to me at least, that God detests that type of behavior. And it just seems right that any religion that is really following what the Bible teaches would not accept homosexuals.
Do you think God is discriminate? Is he partial for saying that homosexual people will not inherit the kingdom? The Bible says that God is not partial. Acts 10:34 says - "At this Peter opened his mouth and said: “For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, "

Most do, but not all.
The United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Episcopal Church, Metropolitan Community Church, Unitarian Universalist Association, and individual congregations of Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, and even Catholics do not condemn homosexuals.
Buddhism, by and large, has little to say about homosexuality.
Hindus have varying pronouncements on sexuality.
Muslims almost all condemn homosexuality. Baha'is are struggling with this issue, but still reject homosexuality.
Jains are very accepting.
Various native American religions have a special place for homosexuality.

Most modern religions consider homosexuality to be a sin. Judaism, Christiainity in most forms, and Islam all consider the natural act of homosexuality to be a sin.
Other discrimination includes: The Bible says women should not preach; most Muslims believe that if a woman is raped, it is her fault and it is she who is punished (sometimes by death). Jews aren't quite as bad, but they do discriminate against bacon when it comes to breakfast meats....
That's why I base my belief in my idea of God, not someone else's idea of religion.

Most Christian denominations I know reject homosexuality BUT accept homosexuals, just as they reject alcoholism but accept alcoholics, reject premarital sex but accept those who have had premarital sex, etc. God hates the sin but loves the sinner. All are welcome in the church, because we all sin in one way or another, but sinful actions are not condoned. Thus, you can come to church as a homosexual and be accepted as a fellow sinner, but you can't expect most churches to be willing to perform a marriage ceremony to someone of the same sex because that would be condoning the behavior.
I'm afraid I can't speak for other religions.

Well Catholic isn't a religion. It is a denomination of the Christian religion. I am fairly certain that the Islamic religion does not accept homosexuality.

Most Christian, Muslim, and Judaic denominations/sects don't accept the homosexual agenda. To Christians it's love the person hate the sin. So they don't reject the homosexuals people per say, but they definitely reject homosexuality.
