OK.... i need serious help with science..Were studying rocks and were doing a rock collection and i need to know .....Is the rock Quartz, an intrusive rock or an extrusive rock? AND ....Is Quartz coarse-grained or fine-grained?......THANKS SOO MUCH!!!!

Rocks rich in quartz are intrusive up to a certain percent. So yes they are generally considered intrusive. Quartz can be either coarse or fine-grained.

Distinguish between a mineral and a rock.
Quartz is a MINERAL found in some ROCKS.
The words intrusive and extrusive usually refer to igneous
rocks .
