Is it safe to eat leftover chicken or turkey that still has the bone in it, that has been in the refrigerator? My husband said that leftover chicken that still has the bone in it (that has been in the fridge) can harbor bacteria.

If it was cooked properly to begin with, didn't sit out too long before being refrigerated, and your refrigerator is working properly at keeping food cold, then yes, it should be okay to eat. You can always reheat it to kill any bacteria that may have formed. Or cut up the meat and use it in another dish that needs to be cooked i.e. turkey soup, turkey ala king, turkey casserole, etc.

I'm pretty sure its ok. As long as it's sealed in the refrigerator it should be fine. Otherwise what else would you do with it.
