ya am lookin just for a place to spend the nite that will be cheap that allow an 18 year old to rent

Some hotels have age limits, some will rent to anyone over 18. What are you looking for? A cheap place to stay for a night or two, or something fancier? There are several nice places on RT 1 including a Hampton Inn and a Comfort Inn just south of the mall, and a Quality Inn (former Howard Johnson) just north of Main Street, There are also several independent motels north of the Quality Inn.

There are other places on 198 between 197 and 295. You would need to call and inquire about any age restrictions!
