just use a "Pen Drive" 4Gb only about £22 now. hope this helps you.

All of the responses you've received so far are accurate, but that doesn't mean that you'll be able to run the programs on your Windows Vista PC. The majority of programs will need to be installed via the original media (CD/DVD) as they will write files into your system registry as well as place items in their installation folder/directory.

The easiest way would be to make a cd of the old files.

Another way is to network the two computers & copy them that way.
