Steven Harper (CANADA - thus making us the bad guys) when all he is asking is that developed countries like the United States, China, and India (developed meaning they are the biggest offenders when it comes to polluting) be INCLUDED in the deal?

What good is it if every other countries has these STRICT rules imposed on them and yet the biggest polluters still get to carry on as always? Why even BOTHER?

With scientists and experts BEGGING politicians and claiming immediate action is required just to HALT the effects of global warming (drying up of our fresh water resources and drastic climate effects like drought and flooding) taking 20 years to halt before even expecting to see any reversals, so why oh why are the GOOD guys, the BAD guys here?

Do people not care they are killing your children? And make no doubt about it, tossing this off as hogwash is just that....hogwash.

Time for people to pull their heads out of the sand before that's all they have left to eat.

I think they ought to do a survey to see who thinks global warming is "real"...I think you'll find a certain country is just as brainwashed on that subject as they are on the subject of universal health care.

I beleive it. And what would the harm be in reducing emissions, even if it wasn't true? We'll be running out of all our natural resources at this rate....so why not make changes?? The planet just simply cannot sustain all these people for an indefinite timeframe.
I'm embarrassed to say I'm Australian and we are yet to ratify the Kyoto Agreement. We've just had a change in leadership tho so hopefully that will change :)

Maybe we should spend trillions of dollars on global warming (like Howard Stern of the world bank is recommending) or maybe we should hold of on that idea for now.

It's not just global warming. There will be another and another scare campaign after this one. Do you want to spend trillions of dollars every time a group of scientists comes up with a speculative doomsday scenario?

Canada are not the 'bad guys' they're just 'guys' who don't want be told what they are and are not allowed to do with their own resources. What the UN is after is global rationing of oil to keep the prices down. Sure everyone cares about the environment, but they care about money more. The UN wouldn't want to ration oil if it was cheap and the supply was guaranteed.

(edit) Hi Eve,

Obviously this isn't what you wanted to hear. I first got interested in global warming about 15 years ago and I read the warmists and sceptics arguments and it seemed to me that the sceptics had a much stonger case.

I'm Australian and I haven't 'believed' anyone, I've formed by own opinion.

I also care very much about my children, but I believe there are worse things to worry about than atmospheric CO2.

So called "global warming" is BS. It just isn't happening. There's been no warming in over 10 years. The southern hemisphere is in a year long record cold.

I am acting for the good of my children when I refuse to hand over their freedoms to alarmist.

It just isn't happening, global warming is a new age religion.
