was she married to Joseph before or after the "immaculate conception" It is possible that Joseph impregnated her and to cover their actions went on about god, I mean there is no real proof that she was a virgin and the father was not Joseph's and what about Jesus siblings Mary a Joseph must have had sex and childeren, or did the labour and child pushing for a "virgin" damage her so that she could not?
what about Jesus's girlfriend/concubine marry magdolin has it ever said in the bible that he was a virgin at death and she was alway there around him, she would have had a child and never told anyone because the would have come after the baby, now really does that not make more sense

it is interesting how the question replaced into in no way relatively replied. i do no longer understand while or which pope declared Mary replaced right into a virgin something of her existence however the scriptures for sure say Jesus had brothers or perhaps sisters. because Mary his mom replaced into married why could she stay celibate? That is senseless whatsoever!! The angel Gabriel in no way stated she might could remain a virgin something of her existence nor did God. that's a synthetic doctrine. it is not time-honored for a married guy or woman to no longer have marital kinfolk with their substantial different. which would be torture! Be authentic...we are human! ~ Matthew 13:fifty 5 isn't this the wood worker's son? isn't his mom referred to as Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? The carpenters son is Jesus. His mom replaced into Mary. His brothers have been James, Joses, Simon and Judas. There it is in common english. God's be conscious! God bless you!

Why would any one think God's Word was not true. If Mary was not a virgin and Joseph was the father of Jesus then we are still in our sins and His death on the cross for our sins was in vain. Matthew 1: 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

First of all, the immaculate conception was not that of Christ, but of Mary herself (the idea being that Mary was born without original sin).

If you follow the timeline set in the bible on the whereabouts of Mary and Joseph, they wouldn't have been near each other during the time at which she would have been impregnated.

You mischaracterize Mary Magdalin, not suprising coming from an overly sexualized modern culture.

As far as Jesus having brothers - that is easily refuted by a simple understanding of the Bible, the customs of the day and more simply the term "brethren" which also means cousins and nephews.

Without medical intervention, no virgin has ever given birth.

A claim that is often made is concerning Isaiah 7:14. In the Book of Isaiah in the Old Testament of the Bible it states:
Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign, behold a young woman (almah) will conceive and bear a child and shall call his name Immanuel."
It is claimed that the above was a prophecy about the birth of Jesus to the Virgin Mary. It is further claimed that since the word Immanuel means "God with us," the person being talked about, i.e. Jesus was God.

The above quotation is from the King James Version of the Bible. The word translated as "virgin" is the wrong translation of the Hebrew word ALMAH. The word ALMAH in Hebrew means "young woman." The correct Hebrew word for virgin is BETHULAH. Since many young women begot children since those words were penned, it is not at all necessary that those words should apply to Jesus.

Another fact that is often ignored is that Jesus was never named Immanuel, nor did anyone ever address him as Immanuel when he lived. On the contrary, the Messiah was named Jesus (Luke 2:21) by the angel according to the gospels.

In the West there are four defined teachings regarding the Blessed Virgin. Two were defined by the undivided catholic church, and two by the Roman church alone. These teachings are often labelled as the 'four marian dogmas'. They have been dogmatized in that they have been declared by the Roman church as authoritative and infallible teachings to which all the faithful must ascribe.

The four Marian dogmas are: Mary Mother of God, declared by the Third Ecumenical Council at Ephesus in 431; Mary Ever-Virgin, declared at the Fifth Ecumenical Council in Constantinople in 553; Mary's Immaculate Conception, declared by Pope Pius IX in 1854; and the Bodily Assumption of Mary, declared by Pope Pius XII in 1950.

It is my belief that Mary's soul was virgin, not that she was a physical virgin. I believe that she consummated her relationship with Joseph, and was blessed with a child who was also a virgin soul. The reason Jesus was so special is because someone who is such a new soul rarely attains such spiritual understanding in his first incarnation, and Jesus did.
I'm not going to go into it further, as I'm probably about to be deleted anyway.

It always struck me as weird that the lord should "come upon Mary."

That's a little bit gross, not to mention sticky.
