I'm a housekeeper.
I saw a lady (who was staying in my building) coming inside the building with two dogs.
To be nice I opened the door and waited there until they came through ... but then one dog bit my thigh !!
It hurt as hell, the owner asked if the dog got me and if I was OK... and started spanking him in front of me..
So I said, I'm OK... dont worry about it...
She came back to ask how I was, I said Fine..
But then later on, the bitten area started swelling real fast and by the end of the day it was all blue with two big red teeth marks.
my boss checked the dog's vaccination record, he didnt seem to have any disease..
1. Should I still see a doctor?
2. What is there I can ask from the dog owner and my work?
3. Will I be able to get the doctor's fee back ? from who?
4. I have to leave work a few hours early to see a doctor.
will I still get paid for those hours ?
(I'm a Korean woman who's new to American custom)

Was the dog vaccinated for rabies?
This attack has to be reported to animal control. If that dog continues to bite people, he could be euthanized.

Yes, see a doctor as soon as possible. Dogs' mouths are TERRIBLY dirty. You need a tetanus shot.

You send the dr.'s bill to the lady with the dog. She can pay it or you can sue her. I'm sure she'll be willing to pay.

Again, the lady with the dog needs to pay for the hours of work you missed. And if you have to buy medicine, she should pay for that as well.

If she loves her dogs, she'll take care of this little matter, because you could sue her for quite a chunk of change, and have her dog put to sleep as well.

Take Care,

Yes see a doctor, yes the dog owner is responsible for your medical bills. I would contact the owner to see proof of the dog being vaccinated against rabies. If they aren't up to date on this you may need a series of vaccinations to prevent getting rabies yourself. You should be able to get missed wages back from the dog owner but you may have to sue for this.

Ouch! Did the bite break the skin-meaning, did the teeth get in the skin? If so, you probably have an infection, and must see see a doctor.

I don´t know about getting paid when you leave work earlier-since it sounds like you were on the job, you should be able to get care while on the clock.
