Definition of any muscle group will take time. Though it may take 3-4 weeks to begin to see results it could take 3-4 month before you hit a peak. In the meantime, quality is as important as quantity, try slowing down the situps/crunches. You can do half as many and still feel "the pain".

It will take a long time, if you keep doing high numbers of situps. You have misunderstood the role of abdominal muscles.

The most CAPABLE abdominal muscles will form flat, broad sheets. This kind of abdomen can be seen on dancers and circus acrobats, and is produced by lots of varied waist movement (NOT situps).

This 'active' abdomen cannot produce a 'sixpack'. Low bodyfat will reveal ALL of the musculature around this kind of torso (approximately a '24-pack', and a similar effect at the back).

A sixpack happens when the parallel sections of your 'Rectus Ab' muscle get 'bunched up' by doing situps and crunches. This effect is called 'hypertrophy' and is stimulated by STRONG contractions that fatigue the muscle after a SMALL number of repetitions.

If you add some weight to your torso (hug a bag of spuds, for example) so that you can only do 50 reps or less, you will see much faster results.

IMPORTANT: get into this technique GRADUALLY, and make sure your breathing and 'locking' are correct. Situps and crunches can damage your back, and the risk will be increased if you add weight.

Pilates and Yoga classes are the best way to learn how you should be breathing, and how to perform a 'lock' correctly, while exercising your abdominal muscles.

I am a dedicated 5:00 am workouter 7 days a week. Cardio for 30-45 min the majority of time at 85-90% of max heart rate, plus 20 min of weights after. Only got 6 pack after cutting carbs. Ab exercises never did anything until the carbs were cut. Now abs of steel.

the key to a 6 pack is good muscle condition and low bodyfat. if all you do is just sit ups then it will take ages. it will be quicker if you exercise all other muscles too.

the number of situps or crunches is insignificant. i suggest you research proper situp technique. when done properly you will not need to do hundreds.

also for a 6 pack to show clearly you will need a bodyfat of 12% or less

It will take a while, but with consistency you should definitely see results! Just keep crunching and working them, and excersize of course. Youll have a six pack in probablly a couple weeks!

You can get good belly muscles through exercise. Do sit up and crunches, but alse exercises to strengthen the side muscles (dont know the name).

To show this definition you need to ideally haveabout 5% body fat. To make this look good yuo will have to body build otherwise you will look skiny

Another 6 weeks should produce those small 'bumps' on your abs! Take it easy though, a gradual program of crunchies should give something more substantial in 3 months!
