8st (112lbs) is very light if you are not under 5ft 2ins and a small build. check on this link to find your ideal weight and check your build. http://www.healthchecksystems.com/heightweightchart.htm
The simple answer to losing and then maintaining a healthy weight is to eat a healthy balanced diet allowing yourself the occasionally 'naughty' treat (that way you don't crave the forbidden) and getting enough exercise to burn off excess calories. Whatever your weight you need 1500 or more just to function normally.
I've never dieted or done anything other than eat ONLY when I'm hungry, and exercised and drink a lot of water. I've been a healthy weight for 40+ years. Until recently my weight was always 3lbs either side of 7st 7lbs but I'm ONLY 4ft 9in. I'm now underweight but have health problems and I'm still only a stone under your 8st target!!!!! Are you sure that 8st is right for you?
If you need to lose weight don't fall for the diet ads and don't aim too low. The likes of Mrs Beckham have a lot to answer for! Good luck getting to your healthy weight!

EDIT > there are 14 lbs in a stone and 14 x 8 = 112
some of you need to go back to school or buy a calculator!

I weigh close to 8 stone. 90 pounds. My mother recently took my to a nutritionist. So now she has me eating

Breakfast:1 slice of toast with butter, 1 egg, and 8 oz. of juice.

Lunch:(My family has our biggest meal at noon) Usually 1 pork chop with, 3\4 cups of potatoes with gravy, and 1 cup veggies. And 8 oz. of an energy drink.

Snack:1 orange

Dinner:A sandwich with 8 oz. of water or juice.

This my seem like a lot and it seems the same way to me but I'm not gaining weight by eating this much. I think the real key to staying thin is for instance;instead of eating a piece of pie after dinner eat an orange. Excerise is also very much key. I play softball all year long; I play on 2 teams in the spring and do indoor softball in the winter. So are there any sports you like? Try to get into some and when you have a friend over instead of playing computer, play softball, basketball, soccer, or a running game. I think you'll see a difference.

I weigh 8 stone & 4 pounds. My weight has always been this, I've not to diet. But I'll give you some tips on helping to lose weight.
1. Before you eat a meal drink a glass of diet coke to help fill you up.
2. Only eat when you're hungry, never eat because you're bored or because you feel like it. People tend to eat when they are in front of the computer or watching TV.
3. Don't eat anything an hour before bed, this is how weight gets put on.
4. Drink loads of water, this always fills you up.
5. and off course regular excercise & healthy eating always helps.

Hope this helps!!

8 stone isn't going to be healthy for everyone... Plus they might eat loads and then go and work out for 2 hours every night.

I have lost 2 pound (yes!!) in the last 2 week... just another 26 to go... and i don't do any exercise at all.

Today i ate bean chilli con carne and a very thin slice of dry toast (350kcal) and two smoked haddock with a sauce (250kcal) and that is it. Maybe i'll have a piece of toast before bed if i get hungry - so that will be a total of about 750 kcal for today.

Just check how many kcal per portion of food you eat and use your common sense. High fat/sugar foods are going to be less filling and higher kcals than high protein food and veg.

Go to this site and work out your BMI.
http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

Then work out what you'd need to weigh to be your ideal BMI by tweeking the weight you input.

Then go to this site and enter your details, including your ideal weight. It will tell you how much kcal you can eat each day and will tell you when you can expect to have lost all the weight by.

I found it quite motivational to have a goal date.

First of all how tall are you? 8 stone is far under weight for any body over 5ft 7" If You are about 5ft-5ft 3" then this would be fine. I am 5ft 6" and weigh about 9 stone 10lbs and this is a good weight for me. Also age, bone structure and muscle make up need to be taken into account. being too thin is as bad as being too fat. Try to just eat sensibly and take plenty of exercise. This is what works. Diets don't, they only leave you feeling hungry and grumpy.

You don’t need to exercise for hours on end. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results should you work hard. Get a skipping rope, skip for two minutes, do push ups for 1 minute, skip for two minutes, rest first minute. Then change the push approximately something else like sit ups and do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a simple, effective workout that will recover results than a long work or swim.

not since i was twelve. 8 stone is good if you're about 5 feet tall. Maybe.
I used to be dead skinny (5'7" and 81/2 stone) but now I'm more like 10 & people tell me how much better i look for it. I also feel healthier.

Go for protein rather then sugar to keep energy levels going strong as opposed to crashing. Edamame in pods will be the perfect snack since it takes a little while to eat and a one-cup offering offers 12 grams of protein.

I weigh 6.5 stone, In a typical day I have nothing for breakfast, then for lunch a sausage roll and a donut/bun. Then for lunch which I don't have till about 8/9pm will have a sandwich maybe cheese or ham but nothing else in it. Thats about it. But I have an eating disorder so don't listen to me.
