He's 3 1/2 mos. old. There are actually 2 puppies. They're brothers and they're passing the illness back and forth. They lose alot of weight because they won't eat. The antibiotics & pedialyte seem to work for a while. But, I don't know what else to do for them.

talk to your vet about your concerns, if they aren't responsive get another vet. i know it isn't easy but try seperating the pups until they have recovered from their initial bout. Try to tempt their appettite with chopped chicken breast , scrambled egg or anything that will help and if they are getting dehydrated then make up a baby bottle with a warm sugar and (a tiny bit only)salt and feed them by hand. Make sure that you wash your hands every time after handling in case that is not helping and try to keep their space as clean as possible to help restrict further infection. I am suprised your vet isn't more helpful and I wouldn't be very happy with them as puppies are very susceptible and it doesn't take a lot to make them go downhill very quickly.

If your current vet won't tell you what is wrong and isn't doing anything to help them, find another vet. Puppies can go down very quickly without medical help. Loss of weight is very serious, and should be looked at immediately. Please get them to a different vet.

you need to find a vet that you feel comfortable with that explains to you what exactly is wrong with your pet and the treatment needed to make your pet healthy. Your current vet don't appear to be doing that. if there is something you don't understand or want to know don't be afraid to ask questions your vet shouldn't have a problem answering them, and if he/she does they aren't the vet for you.

1st ask you vet what exactly it is.
Is it at all possible to seperate the pups into two different rooms away from each other to stop the spread. make sure you wash your hands thouroughly inbetween handling the pups.
Sometimes when pups get sick like that I give them rice and boiled chicken it's light on the stomacha nd will add weight.
Good luck
