im pretty sure i knew this at one point but forgot...like on myspace ur status can be single, in a relasionship, married, divorced, swinger...what is a swinger??

On MySpace "swinger" means a single person who is playing the field and doesn't want to settle down with any one person. Nothing more, nothing less. Or at least that is how they intended it. If the person with the profile is old enough to be married it could mean they are in a married or otherwise committed relationship and they, as a couple, engage in sex with other couples or singles. But, that is not what MySpace had in mind when they added that relationship status.

Swingers are couples that "swap" partners with another couple on a short-term basis. People still do it, but it's kind of an outdated idea that most people associate with the 70's. More people opt for different kinds of Polyamory today.
It's pretty weird that Myspace has this as an option, and doesn't have "Open Relationship" or "Polyamory" as an option. But then, a lot of Myspace's category choices are pretty strange.

Like a married couple having sex with other couples would be considered swingers.

It is all about individual preference.
