i want to but a dog and i was just wondering if yorkies would be a good choice theyre so cute!

"They're so cute!" isn't a good reason to choose a particular breed. Do your research and figure out what kind of dog would fit into your life best.
Then, go to petfinder.com and find a wonderful rescued dog and adopt!

I have a yorkie and there are several things you need to know if you are considering one.
1. They don't really know that they are small, so if barking would be a problem where you live, a yorkie isn't the best choice
2. They don't like strangers!!! If you get a yorkie it will take it a while to warm up to you and you're family!
3. Small kids and yorkies- don't mix if the child likes to poke and prod at the dog (which a lot of kids do).
4. Yorkies need to be brushed and bathed each week to avoid fleas!
5. They are so sweet and loving, the puppy will love you forever!

Could be...but it depends on what you want and expect in a dog. Don't assume that all dogs of a certain breed will act the same...they won't. If for some reason you really like Yorkies and you have done the research into the breed then go met some. Take your time to find the dog that matches what you are looking for personality wise. BUT keep in mind that puppy personalities change A LOT and fast while the personality of adult dogs are more stable.
Hard for me to say if they would be a "good choice". They wouldn't be for me but could be for you.

I am sorry but no one can say not knowing what kind of home you plan to give.
Yorkies are great little dogs. tehy can be stubborn and need good training.
They can be yappers if allowed but again can be trained.
They need to be groomed ( brushed) daily at least 1/2 hour every day.
YOu need ot watch for anal gland problems as with most small dogs.
They can and often are very hyper.

i have three yorkies, they are really smart n adorable, but they tend to be very very mischievous which can get people mad, but they are soo cute, my dogs usually get away with a lot of things.

there cute and adorable, but they get sick really easily because there so small and there bones break easier then some toys. they also cost a lot of money.
