Yes, either will work. Vegatable oil will be just fine. Both fo these oils have high smoking temps and will fry well.

peanut oil works well when you want to deep fry things.... but you can also try vegetable oil as well...

Veggie oil is perfect. That's what I deep fried my shrimp in when I was at the restaurant.
