I could care less what someone believes but if you have a question that has to do with something of a religious nature then ask, but why do some feel the need to just get on here and preach?

Some people feed their need to Feel Important by cracking others with the Bible and correcting their behavior. These folks forget that God warned about having a spirit of contentiousness and being judgmental. Seems they figure its OK to trample over the thoughts and beliefs of others in order to be right.

Preach:
To proclaim or put forth in a sermon: 2. To advocate, especially to urge acceptance of or compliance with:
The definition of "preach" is so broad that stating an opinion or theory can be considered "preaching".
For example:
Stating that eyewitness testimony is acceptable evidence in any court of law is a fact.
Stating that there are thousands of people who will state that they have seen either God or a representative of God is a fact.
Stating that there is no one who can prove a negative, much less prove God does not exist is a fact.
Stating that there is evidence that proves the existence of God is a fact.
Stating that Atheists refuse to accept the above facts is a fact.
Stating that a refusal to accept evidence based on purely emotional reasonings is illogical is a fact.
Stating that atheists must therefore be unreasonable and illogical is an opinion based on the above facts and stating this opinion could be considered to be "preaching".

True Christians are under obligation to preach and teach the good news about God's Kingdom. (Matt.24:14; 28:19-20)
As Paul pointed out in another answer quoting 1 Corinthians, "Woe to me if I did not declare the good news."
If you actually have learned good news, you want to share it with others. Does this mean you have not learned what the Bible REALLY teaches? Certainly sounds like you have not.

Because it is a necessity and not an option.
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

If you don't like how someone answers the question, then don't ask the question to begin with. You're going to get people who give short answers, and some who give long, drawn-out (or preachy) ones.

We do look for openings to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ sometimes that is true. It's out of love not hate. We stand with nothing to gain from all this except to see you in heaven. bless you.

define preach. Is it saying something that takes you out of your comfort zone? Try opening yourself up to some different ideas once in a while..

Christians are commanded by their god to preach their beliefs to unbelievers.
It is annoying.
