"Homonymous hemianopia"

Hemianopia is the loss of half of the vision in one eye.
(loss of a quarter would be quadranopia)
Almost always to one side or the other, the Left or Right visual fields, though a top/bottom defect is possible.

If both eyes are affected, and the defect is on the same side of each eye it is known as homonymous. This is more common, though losing the outer halves of each eye's view is possible. Losing the inner, nasal, halves is almost unheard of.
This comes from the way the eye's nerves are interconnected in the brain. Hemianopia in both eye is almost always a brain, not an eye, condition.
(sorry about the "almosts", and "possibles": there tend to be rare exceptions)

If the hemianopia is of exactly or very nearly the same extent in both eyes it is termed "congruous"
if one eye is more affected it is "incongruous"
