Christians, why do you think christianity failed to protect west from sexual perversion?

From christians point of view homosexuality is sexual perversion..So, my question is specifically about homosexuality. I never meant to say that sex itself is perversion.

Well, you can include those cases of child molesting as well.

To those who claim that sexual perversion is in all countries and religion, it is not true. I agree that it exists everywhere in the world, but extent is much less in eastern countries. Even if it is increasing, it is because of influence of western media.

Just to change my whole answer, if you can show me were in the Bible it states that orgies are bad, then bring that on. Amazingly Christians think that God made sex to feel good, but that you should not do it. Do you really want to follow a God like that? It sounds like either God is a prick or someone who invented Christianity either got it wrong with the message from God, or there is no God and the person who invented Christianity was a child molesting sexually frustrated virgin who wanted to pass that along throughout the ages. Which in fact he did very well, passing that along with the sexually frustrated Christians, so congratulations, you are part of the biggest con job ever set forth by some sexually frustrated child molesting freak who invented your religion. The rest of us will enjoy sex and be what you would deem perverts, since we actually enjoy our bodies. And you can keep staring at porn all day and condemning it, and never learn to enjoy yourself or your body or others. Sucks to be you.

PS: Christianity is not here to protect anyone from anything. Your Christ came here to take away our sins, not to protect us from sex. Never recall hearing that in Sunday school, but then all the texts written about Christ (even those quoting him) were written a minimum of 20 years after he supposedly died. And the rest of us really know that Christ and Mary Magdalen were doing some under cover work at night, and you know what I mean.

It is not our job to protect anyone as a Christian. Is not this the job of ALL of us? Why do you not ask this of the Atheists and the Hindu's? Why not ask the Buddhist and the Pagan?

We are ALL responsible for the health and welfare of our children and descendents. It's not a religious thing, it's a parent thing.

Btw: I was not counting homosexuality among sexual perversion. I was referring to child molestation, the stuff kids see on TV, etc.

It is not a Christians obligation to enforce the teachings of the bible upon anyone. You have the choice to read and understand God. You and every one else chooses there perversions, sexual, stealing, or other. Christians have the obligation to point out once, and only once, that Jesus died for our sins, and that you can have eternal life in the here-after by turning your life over to Jesus. Christianity and Christians have not failed at this. The individual has.

What sexual perversion? How can you fail to protect against something that doesn't exist?

If anything, sexual repression is the cause of many problems that we are facing now.

Homosexuality is not preverted as many social species have homosexual tendencies. Not only that, but Christian beliefs and social norms have caused a rise in homosexuals by repressing the behavior and causing many to pass the trait along. Rather ironic.
