I am not 100% here but I do believe that graduates of the Citadel are offered regular commissions, I think Norwich, Tx A & M and VMI also have the opportunity. Not all schools are offered this but a select few are. An Army officer recruiter will be able to clear this up for you in short order.

With exception of USMA at West Point, graduation from a military academy does not mean you are a commissioned officer. However, most military colleges have the ability to commission officers, but you have to make that decision on your third year. Citadel, for example, has a corp of cadets. So it shouldn't be an issue if you are in the corp of cadets.

Once you graduate from a military college, you do get commissioned from that school. But if you get a degree from a regular college, you have to join the military and get your commission from whichever branch you choose.

Check with the citadel, I think they probably have ROTC, if you take ROTC all the way through you will be comissioned. Check their web site\
