“Doing It Right”
--A recent editorial in the Sun of Gainesville, Florida, contrasted the so-called Moral Majority with Jehovah’s Witnesses in their approach to morality. “[The Witness] publication, The Watchtower, provides the instructions—most of them reassertions of long established principles,” noted the Sun. And “the offender who resists ‘loving concern’ is apt to be ‘disfellowshipped,’ which means dismissal from the congregation. . . . The discipline may offend some Americans, but it is entirely proper for Witnesses to enforce their own fellowship rules. It is a voluntary association, and the exit is easy for anybody who wants out....
..In the opinion of the Sun, this mixing of religion and politics is unconstitutional, and therefore the Moral Majority is “doing it wrong and the Jehovah’s Witnesses are doing it right"

You are truly to be commended , as an elder for most of my 40 years in the truth, there have been times in which attitudes of judgments beyond what Jehovah affords those with authority, is carried out!
--JEHOVAH sees these mistakes by his organization and those who might misuse their power, purposely or not!
--IT IS TRULY great when elders show humility and admit when they have made mistakes, which can indeed take some of the hurt out of
us! This is a test for imperfect men but it is indeed refreshing!
--AT TIMES, the hurts can come upon those who might suffer from valid emotional illnesses and severe damage is done & leave scars that may not heal till the new system!
--A SAYING that has helped us is this: "Expect nothing and hope in everything" to me means, hope in all things Jehovah has his hand in with no expectation in humans, or his organization, even though it is his & he is using it , it is indeed limited!
--Please continue faithful , Jah sees it!

Well, I have never been disfellowshipped for the practice of sin, but I have spoken with some in my own congregation who were. They all said the same thing: the older men in the congregation had tried repeatedly to help them; they refused to stop the sinful practice; they were disfellowshipped for cause; they were disciplined by it; and they were happy when they stopped the sin, came back and were welcomed with open arms by the congregation.
I am aware that rumors abound regarding the Biblical practice of disfellowshipping. And I am aware that some on this site insist that it is not Christian and that they are glad they are no longer Witnesses.
But I am also aware that there are many who were glad that they WERE disfellowshipped. And even on this site, there have been those who readily admit that the practice is Biblical; that they deserved it, and that they respect it. To those I would say, with all my heart, please come home.

Most Jehovah's Witnesses will find my experience difficult to believe and will accuse me of making it up.
I was disfellowshipped for unrepentant "loose conduct" and later reinstated even though I told the judicial committee that I felt ambivalent about my reinstatement letter and pessimistic.
I was shocked when they told me they had decided to disfellowship me because I was the one who came forward with the confession and had already stopped the practice for a matter of several months. I also informed the appeal committee that I was repentant, why else come forward with a confession. They told me that anycone can easily say "I'm repentant" but that doesn't make it true. They can't read my heart condition, they can only go by "evidence." Please note this is evidence that I provided.
So, I waited about a year and then wrote a reinstatement letter. Eventually, I was reinstated but I felt I had to nag them into acting on my letter. The elder told me there had been a "miscommunication" and that's why no one had gotten back to me in a timely manner.
I think to myself, if this has happened to me, it's probably happened to at least one other person. I no longer trust this religion the way I used to in the past. They've made mistakes before and they will again. All I want to do now is just try to be the best Christian that I can be within the Jehovah's Witness format.

I have never been disfellowshipped, I decided to FADE out of the organization. I stepped down from my positions. I started as an Auxillary pioneer at 13 YO, then as a regular pioneer at 16 YO.
Now, I have theological issues, particulary with the generation issue among other things. In the Feb. 15, 2008 internal magazine, a new adjustmest is coming out again. The Generation will only apply to the annointed. The previous teachings were ERRORS, not new light (Proverbs 4:18 is often misapplied, read the chapter)
The acceptance of blood components in 2000 is OK, but whole blood is not (90+% water). This is a contradiction IMO. Components OK, water and components are bad.
I did not go to college, but was looked down upon because I advanced within my career. I am preparing my children to go to college and again, this is looked down upon, so be it. I do not have regrets. I have found MANY elders have the same issues that I do, but they are silent. I love JAH and his son Jesus, they are the source of my Salvation. I can not earn it through field service (Ephesians 2: 8,9).
I do not know of many DF for immorality NOW that are over 25. Most that I know have doctrinal issues and leave. They seem to have a better relationship with God in the evil, depraved heartless world. They are very goal driven as I am. Most are happy family men and loyal employee's to our employers.

No I have never been dis fellowshipped. I have been able to keep my senses with the help of Jehovah. But I have been reproved before but it wasn't made public and that was 2 years ago. But I'm much better now and handle responsibilities in the congregation.

My son got off on a wrong course, after a divorce.
He was living on the edge with one foot in the world.
He was glad he said when he got disfellowshipped.
It was like a wake up call. It really made me think.
After that he made every meeting sitting on the back row and looking so sad, it was really hard on us his parents.
But soon he was reinstated and has done very well every since. But he said, I really needed that. Sometimes, some people need discipline, to say no you can't do that>

Is it any of your business why any witness would be disfellowshipped?
I have heard non of the circumstances behind any of the cases. Why even discuss such matters among these weak minds? This sort of thing is what I am guessing the witnesses said today about staying off of the internet because satan is at work. If an elder is conversing with witnesses on line about this subject it more than likely is satan trying to stir up more trouble.

"in spite of the shown fact that, because of the fact he did not get carry of even the slightest verbal replace from any of his relatives, the burning desire to be with them grew to turn into one motivating component in his restoring his dating with Jehovah. think of of that while you're ever tempted to violate God’s command to not affiliate inclusive of your disfellowshipped kinfolk". What turn into the motivating production facility of his return?! To be together with his relatives back. His type one desire to return ought to have been his love for Jah. as a replace he wished to easily please his relatives and not be by myself or apart from them. this is extra of a psychological difficulty (suggestions administration) than a non secular compromise with Jah. The suggestions interest is on and the threats are genuine. No Jehovah's Witnesses, no relatives. "Love thy neighbor as thyself". no rely the circumstances Jesus did not stroll faraway from somebody who necessary His help. So in case you stroll away and not elect to be a factor of this Org., you're avoided and not regular by ability of relatives anymore. could Jesus try this to a minimum of one in each of his close brothers? did not the apostles fake to not comprehend him till now Jesus turn into crucified? Did Jesus return to them after the Crucifixion and shun them for his or her denial? Did Jesus play such suggestions video games together with his disciples? •2 John 10 says to not greet the Antichrist. The Watchtower makes use of this single scripture to assist not asserting hi to a disfellowshipped individual. •At Scriptures including a million Corinthians 5, Paul defined proscribing affiliation with Christians that prepare wrongdoing, not strict shunning.

brother, my son and I have never been disfellowshipped. and even my late husband was not. we love Jehovah God and Jesus Christ forever. we are looking forward to meeting you and all our brothers and sisters in the new system. we are also looking forward to seeing my husband again. agape love to all my brothers and sisters, to bad people like unsilence lamb who is disfellowshipped loves to slander us. she blames every Jehovah Witness because of what her dad did. instead of trusting in Jehovah who is the judge, she has alot of hate for witnesses. we did nothing to her
