Exorcisms do still exist, but that does not mean that devils and demons exist. Oh, they exist alright, in the minds of those that believe in them, but it doesn't exist for millions, like me, who do not believe in a "devil" or "demons" or an "antichrist" etc. etc.

Of course Jesus existed, nobody disbelieves that fact. However, I believe that Jesus was ":misread" and the message he came with, as to how to live a life of love, was manipulated into a control thing, to keep people in line with what some thought they SHOULD believe.

I believe that some who pass over, for whatever reason, stay on this side for a while. I do not believe they are "evil" or nasty spirits, I believe they are still here because of something that want to rectify.

God, or a Supreme Being, does exist and this Being is a loving, giving, compassionate "God, that is everywhere, which means there is no room for a "devil" "demons" or anything negative. But of course that would not serve the purpose of those that want everyone to believe as they do.

Actually the movie "The Exorcist" was based on a real event that took place in St. Louis in I believe the 50's or 60's. The person was actually a boy and it took place at Alexian Brothers Hospital. According to the story here, after the exorcism took place that floor of the hospital was never used again and there were many unexplained events that took place there. That hospital has since been torn down and rebuilt. There is a parking lot there and there have been many unexplained events that occur on that lot.

exorcisms exist but the existence of devils & demons is debatable.

Exorcisms and the belief of devils/demons is not confined to the Christian faith. Many beliefs modern and ancient have the belief in inhuman spirits that were never humans.

If devils/demons exist it could be that they are negative entities inhabiting a plane of existence close to ours. In every exorcism rite they are expelled through faith and religious objects primarliy because they are positively-charged items.

There are people who do exorcisms so yes they exist. People have been killed during exorcisms. The so called exorcists have literally tried to beat the devil out of people. Morons. There are no such things as demons.

Oh yeah. That was from an episode of Trading Spouses. She got famous for that. I saw an interview with her a couple of months ago in which she was much calmer, and said she had toned down her views a bit. What's sad is that she brought children up in that kind of insanity, but I know for a fact that a lot of kids who are brought up in that kind of environment become atheists by their late teens. MANY MANY of them, and that's a relief, isn't it.

its real, i witnessed it a few weeks ago, but there is no head twisting and super vomit projectiles.

yes the greatest dilemma of believing in this is the "Well God must exist too" questions that float about in your head.

remember exorcisms were mentioned in the bible numerous times, long long long before movies were made.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

When I was a kid, some neighbors came to our house one night around 2 in the morning, crying and distraught because their daughter seemed posessed. They came to our house, because they knew my dad was a minister. They asked him to come and help her. So my dad went with them to their house, and when he walked into the front door, he could hear the girl in her bedroom screaming. They took him to her bedroom, and when he walked in, and she saw him, she yelled, "What's that Jesus freak doing here!" My dad said she was sitting in her room, and wouldn't let anyone near her, and she started pacing, and screaming, and calling him names, and mocking Jesus, and so my dad just went to his knees, and started praying aloud for her, and asking Jesus to take the demon out of her. Suddenly, she fell to her knees, and she started crying, and my dad laid hands on her head, and continued to pray, and then she was fine after that. Years later, my dad saw her, and she was a christian, and she was apologizing, and they both agreed God delivered her from a demon that night. She admitted she had been playing with Ouigi boards and Tarot cards with her friends back then when the incident happened.
