Sorry but it sounds like he is having a hard time getting enough oxygen to his system.
I know it`s Sunday but I would advise you to call your vet or an emergency hospital.
Good Luck

I am really sorry to hear this about your baby. Our little pom had the same problem and she passed away at the age of 12. She went on her own so we didn't have to make the decision of putting her down, but we were close to it. Her little lungs started filling up with fluid and that is when she started having a hard time breathing and laying in the foyer because it was tile and cooler to her. Please don't let your baby suffer. I know that you want to keep her with you but don't you think that is being a little selfish on your part? Do what's right for her, she will thank you for it and one day she will be waiting for you at "The Rainbow Bridge" God Bless you all.

Sorry to hear that. We had to put our dog down, 12 year old mutt, half border collie, half springer spaniel, back in early jan 2003. She was sick all throughout the holiday season of 2002, starting around Thanksgiving. She had cancer, tons of tumors and was seisuring bad, etc. Gave her anti-seizure meds, etc, but eventually, she couldn't even stand up and was panting a lot, frothing at the mouth, it was bad, had to put her down at like 2 in the morning, took her to the vet. real real sad. I'm sorry to hear that. This kinda thing really sucks, especially during the holiday season. Take him to the Vet right away. At least he'll get some meds, and some kind of relief, and you'll find out what your options are. We definitely thought we had to put our dog down around early Dec 2002, but the vet gave her stronger anti-seizure meds, which wound up buying her another month.

Please give us an update about what happened to your dog

It sounds like he is struggling to breathe. You may need to help him and say good bye. A vet will tell you for sure.
If he's a large breed of dog - like a Great Dane - 12 is an old age.

take him top the vet hun and they sort things out for u from there. i know how upsetting when animal is ill. my dog not well ever. she 10 months. I'm so worried but i go to vets every two weeks they are sorting her i hope. so far we know that her small intestin isn't working to good. she can't broke food down it just go straight through her. enzine court is 7. it meant to be the high end of 30 but it not below 5 so it not really bad but she on antibiotics as soon as u stop them she is really not well. she might be having a biobopsy in two weeks. so worried. she so expensive but worth every peny. she is my first dog. but had other animals as well.

He is probably tried from running, chasing, braking at the person next to you pet, and maybe just maybe playing with the other dog/cat. Just give him love, attention, care, happyness, water, and food. If that does not work go to the vet he might have something in his body that needs to be taken out.

Have you had him to the vet and had his medication updated or changed? It might be time for that if he is having a hard time. You should take him in to the vet and have him take a look, it might just be that he needs his medications changed.

Only you know when it is time to let your dog go over the rainbow bridge. However, if he is in a great deal of pain and not able to get around, it may be his time. If you let him live like that, then you are only keeping him around for yourself.

vets asap, my dog has a heart condition and she is 14 years, there is medication out there if it isn't too late, he can't get enough oxygen into his system and is probably overheating as he is struggling to breathe.

Sorry to hear about him-poor baby. I think he is having heart failure. Please do not let him lying on a cold floor! Wrap him in a warm blanket! (under him, too) I know what it is like to have pets since you were a kid, but treat him like you would want to be treated-give him a little more respect! Please just don't let him suffer anymore!-My best to you...
