i was asked to be the best man at my uncles wedding. i dont think i'll be responsible for the bachelor party becauseim only 17. but what are my other responibilities and what is normally said in the speach?

You can help out with a bachelor party even if you are underage. You will be responsible for holding the rings until they are needed in the ceremony, to make sure that the groom gets to the church on time, you sign the wedding certificate as a witness and make the speech at the reception. I would make the speech short and sweet. You can find some great toasts on line. Sometimes at the reception the speeches run on too long and get almost embarrassing to the bride and groom when some funny things are brought up.

You should be flattered to be the best man, even if you're only 17. I don't know about the bachelor party though. As far as the speech goes, be genuine and say things from the heart. Try not to think too much about it (though I know you would be worried because you're talking in front of other people). But if you say things you truly mean, everyone will be happy....as long as it's positive!

Responsibilities? You don't have any bro. That is why they call it being the best man. You get to ride the gravy train all the way. Especially considering your age, let everyone else do all the work. But, a speech would be nice.

Sat things that you remember doing withim and say stuff like I'm proud to be his best man. Also how much you love him. About the bachlor party just say up some money with the rest of his best man group or whatever and go to a a bar or something.

Ruh roh tip go to barnes and noble and grab the book "Best Man for dummies" no, seriously, im not putting you down. it tells you what you need to know without any nonsense. it will help. you have to give a speech that is heartwarming, but that has a bit of humor to it. ask others about your speech before you give it too!
