I like Sangiovese is the primary grape used in Northern Italy in the region of Tuscany to make Chianti and also for Brunello di Montalcino. Sangiovese produces wines that are spicy, with good acid levels, smooth texture and medium body. Sangiovese can be made into very structured and full bodied wines.
But give me a port anytime.....Some 40 varieties of grape go into making port. Made from grapes grown in rich lava soil, port today is either vintage or blended, and ranges from whites to full-bodied tawnies and reds.

Red Rose is for Lancashire and the enemy is Yorkshire
White Rose is for Yorkshire and the enemy is Lancashire
If your from anywhere else it's none of your damn business
As a man of Lancashire (in spite of the b-------g about of the Counties some years ago) I prefer the Red Rose

Red if in the evening. full bodied: merlot, cabernet sauvignon; medium bodied: rioja, shiraz.
it has a rich taste and is perfect for socialising without getting drunk :) (no more that 2/3 of a bottle pls)
another point is: small glass of red a day helps blood circulation.
white or rose if in the afternoon or with lunch
dry: chardonnay, sauvignon blanc; medium/light: sancerre, chablis, pinot grigio(rose) crisp and refreshing especially during hot summer days (recommend not more then a glass if during daytime)

Usually go for a red, a merlt or shiraz but am into the white grenache(Blossom Hill do a good one) at the moment. Down side is it's very easy to drink the whole bottle.

Not that simple, it depends whether you're drinking it by itself or with a meal. Usually white (Semillon Chardonnay or Chardonnay) but occasionally a Red, rarely a Rose

I do like them all...but a really good rose..nice light and crisp is so good. I like white and rose because they are chilled...maybe just because they are refreshing. I like reds because they are complex and rich. I guess that said, I like all three. Sorry! ; )
