NOOOO.

There is a BIG difference between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray Disc

They are BOTH high-def, but Blu-Ray is a higher quality. And the PS3 is a Blu Ray player (look at the case for the PS3 games, they are blu ray discs). Just buy blu ray movies

The blue ray player and HD DVD uses totally different laser. I would find it hard to believe you could play an HD-DVD on PS3.

No. Those are two totally different systems with different tecnologies. It can't be done.
