The statement is for assult i witnessed outside of my college between three people two people that i know from the college punched anouther boy i know from the college. And also pushed him into a fence. Should i do the right thing and make a statement? Because if i do and those boys found out i would be bullied myself. Or shall i not? Please put my mind at rest.

Firstly you should make the statement.
Secondly, you would be classed as a vulnerable or intimidated witness. The Witness service will do what they can to keep your identity a secret from the offenders.
If they do find out who you are, this will send out a clear message to them that you will not tolerate anything done against you.
Also, if they start to harass you before or after the case, they will be committing the offence of witness intimidation, they could be arrested for that.
life throws us into situations sometimes that we cannot avoid, and you have a moral obligation to help the victim. if you don't. the offenders will win and things will never get better. Law breakers know this and will continue to offend until someone has the courage to stand up and say NO!

Only you can decide what is right for you. I assume you are in your teens and afraid of the consequences.

Think however how the victim felt when he was being attacked. How would you like that? Would you want witnesses to come forward and give evidence?

It is difficult because the police cannot always be there when you need them. If anything did occur you could contact the police and they could take whatever action was neccessary.

Why not speak to the victim and see how he feels.

Personally I would stand up to bullies all the time. This is something I will encourage my children to do, should this ever arise.

Have you spoken with your parents? college tutor? friends? or even the police? Speak to them and then make your mind up.

Good luck

Do the right thing and make a statement, but tell the Police of your fears. Bullies are cowards so stand up to them and don't let them do this to somebody else, next time it could be fatal and then how would you feel. I wish you luck in whatever decision you make.

You will be the victim of being bullied yourself if you do nothing. Bullies work through intimidation and it appears you are already intimidated. Maybe if you stand up for the one who had there butt kicked you could become a victim of them as well...but from were I sit you are victimized either way. Why not do the right thing and help someone out.

Good luck!

If it was just a fight between two guys, I'd say no. But since it was two on one, I think you need to put a stop to it. Stand up to 'em, make your statement. Personally, I would've stepped in when I saw it was two on one, but this'll work too:) Man up, and teach those bullies that there are consequences when you don't play fair.

Tell the Police your fears. Then make a statement before a Commisoner for Oaths.

It is a criminal offence to attempt to suborn a witness, although you are actually a victim of your own fears.

The only way to combat bullying is to face it head on. Do the right thing and make the statement.

I would say make the statement but I would need more details of what actually happened. If it is as you say, the kid was bullied then make the statement.

I would decline unless it's a serious assault or murder or close friend of yours; otherwise you will be in harm's way. "Kill the messenger" is still alive and well in the criminal justice system.
I would nicely decline...let the cops make their own case.
It used to be okay for guys to sock each other without going to jail; but anymore you can go to jail for any reason. You may end up being charged with something...like conspiracy. Cops go after anyone they can regardless of who's breaking the law or not..they don't care about justice just winning!
