I feel as though these churches are wrong.
There are many conspiracy theorists in the world, to be upfront and honest. For example, there are Catholics who feel the Protestant church will be a vehicle for the Antichrist, just as there are Protestant denomination that believe the Catholic Church will aid the Antichrist.
These conspiracy theories are really unnecessary, are they not? Individuals who believe in G-d, should not necessarily be worried about the Antichrist, because their doctrine teaches they won't be around when it happens anyways.
All of the accusations and pointing of fingers does no good by the way. How is this uplifting to the spirit of Christ, especially if you profess to be saved by Christ Jesus? It does not matter whether you attend a church service at a Protestant Church or Mass at a Catholic Church. Ultimately it's your belief in Jesus Christ as your redeemer that saves you, not the congregation you participate in [at least according to the Bible, which you're supposed to believe if your a Christian].
Just some thoughts from someone on the outside. :)

I'm fed-up with trying to 'educate' so-called 'ex-Catholics'.
If you couldn't be bothered learning about Catholicism when you were a Catholic, then what hope do you have in adopting a new religion?
Seriously, no-one has to explain their faith, or the actions of their Church. This is less of a 'I have a question that's kinda interesting and provokes intelligent thought' and more of a 'I'm a right numpty who never bothered learning ANYTHING'.
edit: Look, 'ex-Catholic', it just shows that your 35 years weren't spent understanding your OWN RELIGION. I can't really help it if you were ignorant to the beliefs you held...and by the way, the name's Evi.
As for the Lord's day...did you spend ALL day in Church on a Sunday? I know I don't. Please remember there are multiple timezones, and not everyone attends at the same time. Some people have to find the time during weekdays.
That is all.

Catch 22 for Catholics...?
1 Pet 5:13
13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
(KJV)
On the one hand, if Peter is really in Iraq at such a late date it really destroys the idea that he was ever in Rome.
On the other hand, if Peter is already using Babylon as a code word for Rome then that makes the Roman Catholic Church the Whore of Babylon in the book of Revelations.
Either way, the Catholic Organization loses face in light of scriptures like this and many many others in the Bible.
When the Catholic Church began persecuting non-catholics after 325 A.D. they began earning the title Anti-Christ and Satan's Church from the brethren beyond the borders of the Roman Empire, and in their underground meetings.
When the Refomers joined the non-catholics in their official treaty with Martin Luther in 1525, then the Protestants picked up on this old non-catholic theme. The ferverency with which this title was used, was in direct proportion to the use of the sword and fire against my spiritual forefathers.
It is a mistake to call the Pope Anti-Christ. None of them have ever been that charismatic or intelligent. The Catholic Church is definately a murderer and liar in history. Many different sources will attest to this, and admissions by the Popes in recent years confirm this. This is why many say that they are just like their Spiritual Father John 8:44.
If they would just act more like Christians, and quit trying to run everyone's lives and tell us all a bunch of lies about how they are #1, then maybe they would not draw so much criticism. But they cannot control themselves, and they spew their ignorance without shame.

I am no longer a Christian -- but was also brought up Catholic.
I believe that most Protestants do not know enough about the Catholic Church to make an informed opinion -- so hate out of ignorance.
For example, many think that:
1. Catholics pray to Mary -- when in fact, they ask Mary to pray for them.
2. Catholics pray to Saints -- when in fact, they ask saints to pray for them..
3. Catholics added books to their Bible -- when in fact, Catholics created the Bible at the Council of Trent in the 4th century and it has remained unchanged since then. It was actually Protestants who took books away from the Bible in the 16th century.
In addition, any Protestants who believe the literal interpretation of the Bible have problems with Catholics -- who tend to believe that Genesis is allegory. Ironically, most of those those who take Genesis literally believe that Jesus was NOT being literal when he said that the bread and wine were his body and blood. Catholics do take that literally, while most Protestants think it was symbolic. This difference is major -- and onw that makes Catholics think that Protestants are heretics -- and Protestants think that Catholics are bad.
In the long run -- I believe both groups are perverting that which Jesus taught.

In a word - hatred. Hatred is the reason why someone is driven to calling the Catholic Church the Whore of Babylon and it's pope(s) the Anti_Christ.
Of course, anyone who actually believes in these claims exposes their ignorance of true Catholic Dogma - thus proving the age-old axiom true that people usually hate that which they don't understand.
Ignorance-born bigotry. But, then again, is there any other kind of bigotry?

Because a lot of people are idiots and bigots. Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). Among the Christian churches, only the Catholic Church has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from unity with the pope in 1054. The heretical protestant churches were established during the Reformation, which began in 1517. Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The list of popes can be traced back to Peter himself, the first pope. Here is a list:

Jesus’ Church is called catholic ("universal" in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and make disciples of "all nations" (Matt. 28:19–20). For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28). I can name a 1,001 things and not even get started.
Mama claims unless a couple is married inside the church, that God won't recognize them as being married.
Mama claims that homosexually is not a sin. Yet, everyone of these verses below speak about and against homosexually and clearly show that God proclaimed that it is to be one man and one wife.
(Gen. 2:24; 19:5, 13; 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; I Cor. 5:1; 6:9; I Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).
Yet, the catholic church claims it can't understand why they end up in millions upon millions of dollars in law suits. As one lawyer put it in the New York Times, I file an average of 300 law suits "a year" against the church. And that is just "one" lawyer!

They read a lot of pure junk written by anti-Catholics with fertile imaginations, such as Jack Chick and Dave Hunt (with a touch of Loraine Boatner thrown in) and accept it at face value because it makes their version of Christianity right and good, and Catholicism wrong and evil. Mostly. Some people have a need to demonize whatever doesn't line up with their own beliefs, so the "antichrist/whore of babylon" stuff plays right into that. (Sells books, too.)

Unfortunately people like to cast dispersions on others beliefs and since the Catholic Church is one of the biggest, it is the biggest target for laying the blame! Also it was the first Christian Church to be recognized as such. Don't children think their parents are evil until they become parents? Anyway I do not believe that I think that they are just using the Catholics as a scape goat to further their beliefs and make them feel more superior!
