You know how everyone says that being Gay is a sin? It's an unnatural way to love and that it's caused by the Satan...

Well, I'm Gay and I didn't choose to become it. I find it really prejudice when people hate me because of my lust, I cannot help it and I want people to know that it isn't a choice, it's given to you when you're born.

How about a straight person forced to do it with another of the same gender, would you like that? No. Then stop telling Gays to be straight, it's impossible. I feel saddened when people tell gays that they're "damaging youth" by protesting. How about a straight person being yelled and descriminated at when they talk about loving the opposite gender.

Think about it. It's really unfair to the Homosexuals that we have to be descriminated at for being different, forced that way.

To the person who says gays should be confined: Is it good for all Black people to be confined in one Country?

I just want people to be aware that it's really horrible how some people denounce homosexuality just because the bible says so. You have to dig deeper in the bible, just not the text. Didn't the bible say that God loves everyone, no matter how different they are? Or how about loving your neighbors?

Also, how would I ever be reborn again? It's like trying to change a Straight person into a gay one, it's really impossible.

What other choices can I take? Pretend to be satisfied with a Man? I just cannot have a lust for them.

Being Gay, for me isn't a choice. I mean, I have a lust for woman, I can't get over it. It was always in me since I can remember, even at 3 or so. I can't help it, it's in me for some reason. I can't or never will get over it.

Also, you can change the feeling of anger/hate. But you can't change who you are in the inside.

Not everyone says that being Gay is a sin. There are many liberal Christians as well as many non-Christians who have no problem with a person being gay.

In my experience, it seems that the problem is a lot of noise being made by a relatively small number of fundamentalist Christians who appear to be obsessed with homosexuality.

I hope that one day they will come to accept that in a pluralistic society many do not subscribe to their narrowed view and can learn to live and let live. Let them be content that their path is their path and stop trying to impose it upon the rest of us.

And regarding the admonishment against "the effeminate" in 1 Corinthians, put in a historical perspective of the time, one must be aware that the word referred to men who were passive, indecisive, weak-willed--all attributes Paul's language and culture associated with women.

Of course, this means that Paul felt that the meek would not inherit the Kingdom of God--not the first time he differed with the teaching of Jesus (from whom we have not one statement against homosexuals or "effeminate."

No one is forcing you to do anything. If you believe that, you are only fooling yourself. Secondly, being Gay is NOT a race, so I would stop comparing it with being black.

We all make life choices. To think you have no power or control just shows a lack of conviction or desire. You must recognize that God loves the individual, however, their behavior and life choice will lead them into bondage that will harden their hearts to God's eternal salvation. Because Homosexuality involves so much emotional investment, it is almost impossible to tell the them the truth without being labeled with very harsh epithets.

Remember, the sin of homosexuality is no blacker than my sin. And if the Christian truly hated homosexuals, they would keep the message of salvation to themselves, not try to change them, and let them go on their merry way to destruction. But because we care, we take the slings and arrows of 90% of the media and public to speak the truth.

The Bible states that homosexuality is behavioral, for Paul states that many of the new believers had been delivered from homosexuality in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11,

Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God. And SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

If it were a genetic thing, then the Bible would not have shown that some were delivered. Your argument is with the Bible. If you do not believe the Bible, then your concern is moot. If you believe the Bible is the Word of God, then it states that you can be born again, transformed by the renewing of your mind, washed and cleansed.

Jesus taught that we are to control our lusts, and not have our lusts control us. Jesus taught that all sexual lust is sin unless that person is your lawful spouse (Matthew 5:28). Therefore if you have lustful feelings for a person which is not Biblically allowable - you are called to repent from it.

The truth is mankind has a fallen nature and craves the world, and the flesh. Homosexual acts, and even lusts, are sin and like other sins we tend to justify them instead of taking responsibility.

The Bible considers the sin of homosexuality a scandalous sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). There are other scandalous sins, like adultery - this does not mean we hate those which practice adultery. However the Bible is clear that those that unrepentantly practice scandalous sins are showing evidence that they are not members of Christ's kingdom.

The truth is that everybody in the world is born a sinner, those which practice homosexuality are no different. The Bible tells us that homosexuality like other sins comes from a desire to rebel against God. By yourself these desires can be very difficult to overcome. Like choices to abuse alcohol and drugs, people can feel enslaved by their homosexual desires. Thank God, homosexuality is not an unforgivable sin and today is still the day of salvation.

1 Corinthians 6:11
"And such WERE some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

This verse is talking, in part, about those that practiced homosexuality and repented (such were some of you).

First of all, most Christians don't hate you. If they do, then they obviously are not following Jesus' example of loving your neighbor as yourself. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we should hate or despise anyone no matter what the sin. Everyone is a sinner, including Christians.

But just because you feel attracted to the same sex, doesn't mean you have to act on those feelings, if you know God and want to serve Him. If a married woman is attracted to a single man, is she justified in sleeping with him, since she can't help being attracted to him? No. She still has self-control over her actions, as you do.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

This world is unfair. Try not to get wrapped up into what others think. It would indeed be a horrible god who would have souls enter this world prefering the same sex knowing he was going to send them to hell. When your life here is over it will be you and god alone facing judgement. no help from any where else, picture this life as a balance scale, If you choose love/fellowship it tips one and if you choose dominion/ judging others, it tips the other way. Only you can choose which way it will tip.

well I sympathsize with you but you will still have to deal with God about that eventually and you and He have some very big differences.
It isn't impossible for a gay person to change as I know some that have. I had a teacher in Bible School that had changed and was a Christian, he was happily married and had children, so I know it isn't impossible. But I realise you feel it is impossible.

I sense the pain you have endured over the years because of the judgment you have received from some of my Christian brothers and sisters.

I know far to many gays and lesbians to read the Bible literally about this subject. This, of course, is a blasphemous point of view to many Christians. But if my compassion for my gay family members and friends is somehow wrong, then I'd rather be wrong. (I don't believe it is wrong)

You are correct, of course: no one would ever choose to be gay. Why would someone choose to be hated? I hope you realize that there are many people, many of them Bible readers, who love and accept you for who you are.

Peace be with you.

I have a brother-in-law and nephew who are gay. I agree with you. It's something you're born being, and not a choice you make.

You're saying that you were born gay? If it's genetic, than homosexuality would be more confined to one culture/country.

Nothing's impossible.
