Could be. Polytheism was here long before monotheism and it was primarily female with male consort. Having the male gods as superior and then inventing Monotheism was the invention of men who did not like having women in charge. Men have a strong superiority complex that was due to the fact they liked to concur. Check out primitive history and primitive religions! The further back you go the more female Deities you will find!

No -- and I am a Christian. Allah just means "The God" in Arabic and they worship the same One God which I do. Don't believe things written by others about the Islamic religion. After all, look at all the stuff said by non-Christians against Christians -- which is also not true.
More than a few years ago, I used to listen to others. Thus, I once equated Islam and the Qur'an with the devil himself -- but no more. Though there are other points on which we differ, I have verified for myself that, in the Qur'an, Allah states that the Bible is the True Word of God. No moon god would say that.
The Cow
-------------
[2.87] And most certainly We gave Musa (Moses) the Book (Bible) and We sent apostles after him one after another; and We gave Isa (Jesus), the son of Marium (Mary), clear arguments and strengthened him with the holy spirit, What! whenever then an apostle came to you with that which your souls did not desire, you were insolent so you called some liars and some you slew.
[2.176] This is because Allah has revealed the Book with the truth; and surely those who go against the Book are in a great opposition.
The Family of Imram
------------------------------
[3.199] And most surely of the followers of the Book there are those who believe in Allah and (in) that which has been revealed to you and (in) that which has been revealed to them, being lowly before Allah; they do not take a small price for the communications of Allah; these it is that have their reward with their Lord; surely Allah is quick in reckoning.
The Spider
----------------
[29.45] Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up prayer; surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil, and certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do.
[29.46] And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to Him do we submit.
[29.47] And thus have We revealed the Book to you. So those whom We have given the Book believe in it, and of these there are those who believe in it, and none deny Our communications except the unbelievers.

Yes it is true. Those who have never looked into it will say that Allah and God are the same. But that isn't true. Mohamed picked the moon god himself as the god to worship.

Every deity is 'pagan' in origin. The very word 'pagan' only makes sense in respect of new religions trying to semantically distance themselves from the old ones they adapted and 'borrowed' from.

The origin is Muhammad's mind. He cribbed the idea from a number of traditions, mostly Jewish and Christian; he encountered these on a trip to Palestine when a young man.
