i'm a pretty shy individual. i tend to open up more once when i get to know someone, but overall, i have a shy personality. it's really hard for me to meet girls when i go out. when i do try to talk to girls, i always have the thought in the back of my head that i sound really stupid, that i'm going to make an a-s-s out of myself, and i have that sense of ackwardness. i always get the impression that girls want the guy to make the first move, which is really hard for me cause i'm shy. i just wish there are girls out there who understand that can be a hard thing for a guy who is shy. people say to me, "quit being shy," or "you have nothing to be shy about," but they have no idea what its like to be shy. why do girls want the guys to make the first move? maybe if i looked like justin timberlake, i could be able to make the first move.

Yeah I know what you mean, maybe eventually they will. I wish they would recognize that we are shy and approach us. It would be nice and make things easier on us.

It's okay to be shy, and not every girl wants the guys to make the first move it's just hard when your shy cause you feel like you will make a big full of yourself and its hard. I'm shy and it's hard for me to even talk to people on the computer like right now cause I think I'm gonna mess up and right something stupid but listen to me being shy is a personality trait and girls like guys when there nice, and sometimes shy but you should never make the first move on a girl until you feel okay to ask her out on a date but don't move so quickly, it takes time for a shy person to be able to communicate with other people I know, and your picture looks fine don't worry you don't need to look like Justin Timberlake.

Chances are they aren't shy they just need a Rosetta stone to interperate the subtle hints girl put out in the world. Women tend to assume a guy should know when they like them but really guys don't spend hours thinking about the secret moves of women. You have to make it obvious for him. Try talking to him at first and see how it goes.

there is nothing wrong with you getting to know someone first before you open up, that's smart, because you should becareful with who you trust....but i think that if you're thinking "i sound really stupid, i'm going to make an a..s..s. out of myself" when you talk to girls, your confidence isn't where it should be... just be yourself without fear... are you forgetting everyone else has flaws too? so why would you let someone who also has flaws intimidate you? you said that maybe if you looked like justin timberlake maybe you would make the first move? it's not all about looks... trust me a lot of girls rather be with someone real than a good looking jerk.

Well, most girls, no matter what they tell you, have that fairytale fantasy where the guy they absolutely love will tell them that they want to be with them forever and then they gallop together into the sunset on a white steed. It's just kind of programmed into us, I admit that's what I dream of too. So if you really like a girl, then maybe for once you can take a chance and ask her out, no matter how hard it might be. And if you can't do that, then just pray for a confident girl. Hope I helped!

well cause guys should be the one's to make the first move. i have no idea what so ever why. well girls do understand what it's like to be a shy guy. im a really shy person. i hardly ever talk to anyone unless they talk to me. but when i get to know the person it's a whole different story. just try to overcome that shyness :)

Firstly, do you consider yourself as good looking, average, or ugly. Sometimes thats has to do with it. I use to be shy, but i started to grow out of it when i start seeing people i wouldd like to be with, so i started to be a bit more friendly, talkative, and flirty. Know i think im too flirty. Well anyways, when im next to someone and its really quiet, i try to start a conversation with them, no matter what. I actaully have a shy friend but i talk to him little by little, and he didn't notice that he had no shyness towards me and thats always a good start. so i can help you out if you would like.

and you shouldnt worry so much if i were with a shy guy and i knew he was too shy to make a move then i would and there are other ppl like that ..
