errrr....... been a long time since i read the Bible but I don't recall anything that said it was illegal / immoral / or even a waste of good material.

I recall someone saying something about "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same?"

Which is a jolly decent and practical moral philosophy, whether or not you believe in the religious mumbo-jumbo. It does make you wonder how Christians who don't follow that philosophy can call themselves Christians.

PS yes yes, I know about Sodom and Gomorrah, but that's old testament "Torah", not Christian doctrine.... And all that was wrtitten about it in the Bible was that they were "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly. ", nothing about touching each others bottoms.

And if it was such a sin why do we have a Commandment against Covetted Oxen but not about "unnatural practices"? God destroyed Sodom and Domorragh in Genesis, so he had until Exodus to think up the ones he was really worried about.

The Bible makes it absolutely, unequivocably, crystal clear beyond even the vaguest, smallest, tiniest shadow of a doubt that homosexulity is wrong. And yes, I know that's terribly inconvenient for the homosexual community since so many of them like to run with the fox while they hunt with the hounds, but there you have it. Christians cannot be homosexual. Homosexuals cannot be Christians. Homosexual Christianity is an oxymoron.

On the bright side, the Bible doesn't say that you or anybody else will go to hell; that's all just made up to try to scare people in to towing the line.

The worst that can possibly happen is that, in full knowledge of the wrong you do in relation to the teachings of the Bible, you fail to gain a place in a new and refurbished world.

But even that isn't much to worry about because, again in keeping with what the Bible really teaches, the dead are dead and conscious of nothing.

In other words, you might miss the ball but it won't matter cos you'll be sound asleep anyway :o)

Christians don't pick on gays, all we say is that it is a perversion and not sanctioned by God. We are merely stating a biblical fact. My response would be the same for paedofiles, people who have sex with animals and people who indulge in incest.
People like to ask Christians our opinion, hoping that it will agree with theirs and are annoyed when it doesn't. Why do you keep asking the same question......if you want a different answer then ask a different question.

I'm a Christian and I care for everyone, regardless of what my religion (Salvation Army) says. The ten commandments say, "Love Thy Neighbour". Simple as. It doesn't say, "Love Thy Neighbour as long as they are not Gay/Foreign/Old", etc. So, I have nothing against gay people. Two of my friends are gay.

I have a friend who is gay and has been all of her life. I do not "pick on her". I treat her just the same as everyone else.

God forbids and condemns homosexuality. As Christians, we are to seek to share the love of God and salvation through Christ with homosexuals. We are to be loving and kind to homosexuals, while at the same time not condoning their sinful lifestyle.
