The window of opportunity is anywhere from the present date to the end of 2012. By the end of 2012, an operaiton nuke will have been deployed by the Iranians and we'll be at a nuclear stand-off. Other key 'red line' dates include 2007-2008-completion of enough enriched weapons grade uranium or plutonium. 2009-2010-completion of the engineering for the trigger mechanism. 2011-12-completion of the delivery vehicle.

That depends on whether we elect someone even more stupid that Bush and more ignorant of the Middle East than our present Congress.

Iran's population is the most westernized, educated and intelligent in the entire Middle East. It should be the basis for our future alliances in the Middle East, not the object of war.

If nations were to be destroyed strictly because of their bad governments, we should all be dead already in America. But we don't think we are an evil people. Nor do the Iranians think of themselves this way.

I'd rather work with the Iranians than the Iraqis anyday. They are about ten times more civilized.

I agree with Blair.....It would be a big mistake to go to war with Iran...... especially a ground war.....

There are a lot of pro-west people in Iran..... The country is beautiful......most of the people are beautiful......it is only the current government which is evil and that is subject to change without war or embargoes

My guess..... my hope is that "someone" will remove the nuclear threat without war.

Hopefully there will be a revolution to overthrow their government internally. I hope the CIA is working hard on that one. If not, hopefully before they get a working nuke. I would rather kill a million Iranian soldiers than see one of our cities destroyed by terrorists.

Hope not. Only innocent people, especially children, suffer the consequences brought by war.

Americans need to read history books, learn a middle eastern language, live there to understand their culture before invading and occupying foreign countries and impose democracy on them.

It is not our job.

probably whenever whoever gets elected president in 08 is confident he/she can do it without fear of being a loser in 12 or after 2012 if they win when they do not have to worry about being reelected. Unless we choose wisely in 08 of course.
