It is tragic how clergymen have distorted the identities of God and his Son.
As a man, Jesus said that his Father was greater than he was. (John 14:28)
After returning to heaven, that ranking did not change. As 1 Cor. 11:3 says: "The head of the Christ is God." Does that sound like eqaulity to you?
"Scriptures to consider: Philippians 2:6, Colossians 1:19, Hebrews 1:2, Rev 3:21."
The above scriptures say NOTHING about Jesus being equal with God.

John1:1
Jesus is equally Creator with God the Father & the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus ascended, He said, "All power is given unto me in heaven & in earth..."
God highly exalted Him with the Name above all names. (In Jesus resurrected humanity) That at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow & tongue confess, "Yeshua Messiah Yahweh.". So? Jesus has always been Yahweh Elohim in God the Father, Word & Holy Spirit. But Jesus humanity was exalted to Yahweh in that he suffered the cross for us & raised from the dead for us as a human being who never sinned against God. (He was born of the seed of a woman without sin nature & never sinned (wages of sin is death), so death couldn't keep Jesus in the grave.)
But I believe God the Father & God the Holy Spirit is still greater than just Jesus (Word of God). God the Father is too strong & bright for us to see. And the Holy Spirit is everywhere. Jesus is one with the Father & the Holy Spirit. A unity where Jesus is all knowing with God the Father & God the Holy spirit.
There would have been no creation if any part of God didn't exist. With out the Father, Word or the Holy Spirit, nothing would have been created.

Jesus Christ is God...in revelation john sees Jesus in his vision and Jesus calls himself the Alpha and Omega; the first and the last. The more you learn about Jesus Christ the more you know about God.
John1:1-5 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it."
John 14:7 "If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
John 14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?"
Hebrews 1:3 "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."
ADDITION: linedancer....and it is funny how you use scripture to fight with scripture. they do not conflict! if in one passage Jesus says that to see him is to see God and to know him is to know God and that he calls himself "I AM" and in another says that the Father is greater than he is and "only God is good" when comparing himself to God then in the Nature of Jesus both are right. the Bible is not divided against itself. There are things in the nature of God we don't fully understand. That Jesus is the Son of God, the Son of man, the Word of God, Immanuel (God with us), fully human and yet fully divine, at God's right hand yet is the Alpha and the Omega, entitled to everything God is yet making himself nothing, being a man yet being called "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" do not nullify one scripture to uphold another...you will only find yourself at odds with God. the Bible is right when it says that Christ considered himself lower than God He confessed it himself, but it is right in every way that says He was God in the flesh...which he also confessed to himself, unless you think that the Kingdom of God will be run by two kings? and since when Jesus returns those who bleong to Him will become what he is, then what will His people become?
rise above the foolishness of pitting the Word of God against itself.

I can say my father is greater than me but that doesn't make it so. Jesus has always been equal to God. He just has great respect for His Father.

Equal. Both are mythical figures of weak minded fools. Over 3,600 Gods throughout recorded history. What makes these two clowns any different than the others? Read Herodotus and LEARN!

First of all Jesus is not God, never was and will never be , Jesus is a great prophet and never claimed to be God or son of God
It is an unforgivable sin to worship Jesus . God does not need to have a son, He is alone in His kingdom.
Please check last revelation from God which is Quran, it is all written there.
