YES! This is how it happened to me! It started with a "free" credit approval offer and someone other than me filled it out and developed good credit with this one card and used it to get others!

I didn't check my credit often like I do now and this is why it was so successful! By the time I realised what was going on, it was already in full swing and the criminals figured out I knew where they lived, in a rental house!

By the time I caught up with them, or so I thought, they had set fire to the rental and burned it to the ground 24 hours earlier to escape the law! I got no help from Seattle criminal investigation whatsoever!

This is the biggest reason why I authored my website and you should read it all because I went through this and a bankruptcy and still got my score up from 486 to 730 in a little over a year, so this is something I know about pretty well!

You are your own best protection and you need to monitor your credit regularly! Go to my website and learn what i did to protect myself and clean this mess up!

You don't want to go through this!! None of you do!!!!

Well, they can use it, in person or even easier online. Not exactly identity theft, but still a major problem for the card owner to deal with.
